The header image in the theme is 260x90 (for responsive viewing).
I could change the functions.php and css and make the image larger but that isn't my intent with this theme.
The banner ad in the theme demo is marked as 728x90 but there is no banner widget available.
I need the primary and secondary menu in place.

I'll try to be a little clearer; an image might help.

Thanks for the reply. the issue is that I want to keep the custom menu on the top. I am trying to emulate the demo which incented us to select this theme. http://demo.studiopress.com/news/

    main menu
    logo banner ad
submenu (which are really just links to our main pages)

    Enable Automatic Updates

    Notify when updates are available

I neglected to check the box in the genesis settings.  Whoops.

Is there an option or method to update the theme manually?

I am having the same issue.  3 sites showed the upgrade option and 2 didn't.  I checked the Dashboard > Updates and no updates are listed.

Thank you. That cleared up the confusion.  I think there should be a "stackable"  feature though.

    I couldn't recommend backupbuddy enough.
