Brad, Andrea: Thank you both so much. It's great to get an answer around here....let alone two answers. i deeply appreciate both you taking the time to explain it to us newbies.
TeeTideMemberWowzer! Works great! Andrea, you rock!
TeeTideMemberBrad - that looks fantastic. Can't wait to get home tonight and try it. Will let you know how it works for me. Many thanks for sharing your knowledge!
TeeTideMemberBrad (or anyone esle that knows) - Would you please explain HOW to accomplish this using CSS?
Thanks.
TeeTideMemberDid you ever get an answer on this? I'm running into the same issue and need to know how to put plain text there.
Anyone?
TeeTideMemberThanks for the response pxforti.
If increase the .site-container size by 30px and then fill that increase with 30px of padding, the net effect is zero. So there should be no effect on the width of the sidebars, etc. Correct?
My real concern is whether going from 1140px to 1170px will cause certain screen sizes to scroll or something?
TeeTideMemberI tried to post it but the link didn't post. Trying again:
TeeTideMemberThanks very much for the response anitac.
I'm referring to the Magazine theme named "Magazine Theme". 🙂 http://demo.studiopress.com/magazine/. It's absolutely perfect straight out of the box with the lone exception being the width.
Would changing the header on Metro to match the one on Magazine Theme be less work? (ie,,talking about the full width black header with both nav menus and advert position)
Thanks again for your help and insight. Greatly appreciated.
