    As I wrote in my post, I asked at the HelloPro support page, however they are not quick to respond.

    Hi Christoph,

    Thanks for your reply. My response:

    1) Without really seeing the website or back-end, I'd guess remove the recent posts widget from the sidebar widget area...
    There is no recent posts widget in the primary sidebar. They show up automatically 🙁

    2) Does it save the featured image if that plugin is deactivated?
    I'd recommend contacting the theme developer at http://restored316designs.com/submit-a-support-ticket/
    No, even with th plugin deactivated I cannot save the featured image.

    I will contat the theme developer. Thanks for the link.

    3) The Featured Posts widget removes code from the posts displayed on the home page.
    This tutorial might help: http://wpsites.net/wordpress-tips/add-back-html-tags-stripped-from-content-limit-excerpts-in-wordpress/

    I will check out the tutorial.

    Thanks very much!

    I do have content in the Category Archive Settings. Still the archive-title for the category page is missing.

    Thanks Ren for your reply. I read Bill's post but really didn't understand it. Theme is LifestylePro. If this was an issue, why would StudioPress show as a tutorial?

    Until I can figure out how to have the archive-title show up on my Category Page, I just dragged the Category into the menu. The archive-title shows up fine there, but the client wants the url to be what would show up using the Category Blog Page.

    Using css to hide footers I don't want displayed
    .footer-widgets-1,
    .footer-widgets-2 {
    display:none;
    border: none;
    }

    For Genesis themes, I don't remember having to have content in all footer widgets to get the content in 1 footer to
    to show up.

    Anyone know if this is specific to Lifestyle-Pro?

    Client says they are ok with the Sidebar.

    However the Widgets are still an issue as I content to be in Footer 3 Only.
    Nothing show up unless I add a text box to Footer 1 and Footer 2.

    Then the borders of an empty text box show up.

    @Mealtog, thanks for your reply.

    I have the Pro Version and I am an affiliate.

    I am getting questions from those who I've been in conversation with about their purchasing the Genesis Framework and hopefully a theme or two.

    They were searching around StudioPress.com looking for answers and it is NOT obvious which themes are HTML5 ready.

    Do not understand why this information is being hidden.

    @RobG,

    no I did not know that PRO version meant HTML5 ready and would have never found PRO versions as there is no way to Filter Themes by HTML5 ready or are PRO themes even mentioned on the http://my.studiopress.com/themes/ page

    @Susan
    ,

    Appreciate the list. Thanks very much.

    So when all the tips in the old forum will no longer work in the new frameworks, you still want it?

    Yes, the information will still be valuable. Just got to know what hooks are changing, what div names are changing, that css is moving away for IDs and to classes,

    I emailed Brian G all my concerns when it was first announced that the Old Forum would be going away in a matter of time.

    Got a nice form reply that kinda blew me off.

    I would pay to have access to the Old Forum.

    Even though Genesis Framework continues to evolve, the Old Forum is a wealth of information that will still be valuable.

    The business decision to shut it down has never been explained even though I have asked in an email exchange with BG.

    The new ticketing system also creates withholds of valuable information from other users once the issue has been resolved.

    Would be nice to see a summary of issues each week and how they were resolved.

    I had 4 issues come up yesterday on different websites that I am working on. Did not find the problem or solution in the new forum or in the urls you have above.

    I did find the problems mentioned and solutions in the old forum.

    Additionally I ended up creating a ticket for one of the problems. The issue is well known to support, however not posted anywhere for others to find.

    If there are common issues with Genesis themes, the solutions need to be posted somewhere if the old forum is closing down. as the only place I've been able to find answers is in the old forum.

    Not sure if this is what you are going through.

    I was going crazy with attempting to log into my.studiopress.com.  I kept having to reset my password.  Then I couldn't log into this Forum.

    I have recently got it straight.  This Forum and my.studiopress.com (downloads, my account info) have two separate usernames.  my.studiopress.com uses an email address and this Forum doesn't.

    BackupBuddy is worth its weight in gold.

    Billboard is extremely useful for creating ads (images & links) for sidebar widgets.

    The majority of the other iThemes plugins that come with the Developer package do not work with Genesis themes.

    If hosting is with GoDaddy you could experience some problems with BackupBuddy,  however they are all fixable,.
