Look for #description in your style.css on line 204 and either adjust the padding and/or add margin.
Example:
#description {
padding: 10px 0;
}Then just adjust the value of 10px to your desired gap.

Follow me on TwitterStewartMemberHi,
I've tried to replicate your problem, but it looks fine on my browser's, tested in Chrome, Firefox and IE10.
Try Emptying your browser cache and see if this fixes it.
Hope this helps

Follow me on TwitterStewartMemberNo you should never need to adjust the Genesis Parent Theme, always make edits in your child theme, to do this there are a few different ways.
You can use and ftp client to connect to your site and adjust the child theme files there.
Or you can login to your your admin dashboard and got to Appearance > Editor and adjust your files from there.
But just be careful adjusting the files can break your site, so I would advise backing up your files before you make and changes, so If something goes wrong you can always change back.

Follow me on TwitterStewartMemberHi,
What you need to do to achieve what you're looking for is adjust a few lines of code in your style.css.
First look for #header .widget-area on line 213 and decrease the width, next look for #title-area on line 182 and increase the width.
This should bring your title on one line, only problem then is your title covers your description, to change this I would adjust #title on line 190 by either increasing the bottom margin or adding padding.
Hope this helps

Follow me on TwitterStewartMemberHi,
Looks like you have your nav displaying twice, but to fix the bottom nav you need to look for #wrap in your style.css (wish i could be more specific but your css file is minified so i can't tell you what line to change) and remove the padding and margin elements, these are stopping you nav going full width.

Follow me on TwitterStewartMemberHi Samantha,
Site looks great, only thing is in my opinion when looking at your blog the posts here you have no blog post title, hard to tell what the post is about just from the excerpts.

Follow me on TwitterStewartMemberHI ronfrank,
1. David beat me to this one π
2. To Change the menu colors you will need to edit your style.css file on around line 256, look for .menu-primary & .menu-secondary.
3. Not really an easy way to add an overlay, cant think of any plugins to do this but I could be wrong.
But heres a quick way to do this. http://wp.me/p3tEuL-9P like david said does require some coding.
Hope this helps

Follow me on TwitterStewartMemberHi Craig,
Try adding this to your style.css file.
#menu-project-category .current-menu-item a { color: #000; text-decoration: underline; }
The css is just an example, style it however you wish it to look.
Hope this helps

Follow me on TwitterStewartMemberlooking great Blue really nice work, one small thing I noticed is that in Chrome, you're getting 1 error with a missing graphic header.png, which i believe in the epik child theme is related to the custom header background.
Other than that looking good π

Follow me on TwitterStewartMemberOne quick way to achieve this is by using the single_tag_titleΒ like:
$current_tag = single_tag_title("", false);
I have adjusted my gist for you to reflect the changes your looking for.

Follow me on TwitterStewartMemberHi
Best way really is to install the new theme on a local setup using something like xampp.
Or if you really want to go a plugin route there is one I have used many times called Theme Test Drive, this plugin will allow you to test any theme as an administrator while your users still see the old theme.
Hope this helps
