SoniaMemberHello there, you can create a additional header right widget area
Follow this tutorial - https://wpbeaches.com/create-another-header-right-widget-genesis-theme-display-certain-posts-categories/
You will have to place the code in the tutorial in the functions.php file.
Please be careful when you do this cause forgetting even a semi-colon can lock you out of your siteSo you will have "LOGO-HEADERRIGHT-HEADERRIGHT2"
Let me know if you have any questions

SoniaMemberHello Jeremy, Magazine Pro has widget areas on the homepage where you can add your featured posts
In the post area add a Featured Image to your post. Then go to your widgets --------- then open your
Home-Top or Home-Middle or Home-Bottom
and then add Featured Posts widget.
This widget will only show posts that have a featured image
Let me know if you have any other questions

SoniaMemberHi there, Centric Pro and the theme used by the website you have linked both use header right widget.Since it is using header right widget it must have a css responsive code.
......(except that it’s ABOVE the menu, uses a different child theme)
The website you have linked is using a text widget in header right area and centric pro demo uses a navigation menu in the header right area.If you want move your Header/Logo and Header right area below your menu then you will need to reposition the menu (primary or secondary,whichever you are using)
http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/navigation-menus/ - follow this link to reposition the menus
This will add the navigation menu above your header/logo and header right area
Let me know if you have any questions

SoniaMemberHi there, a better option will be adding a hamburger menu to your theme to fit on smaller screen sizes.
Here is a tutorial link for hamburger menu - Hamburger Menu

SoniaMemberHello there, you are using Secondary Menu in your theme
To change the menu bar size you need to adjust a code in the css file
Search .nav-secondary in your style.css file
.nav-secondary {
background-color: #9d7fad;
width: 1200px; ------------ Add this
margin: 0 auto; --------------- Add this
}And if you want to move your menu a little lower so that it doesnt look stuck to your header area then add
margin-top: 20px; (you can change the 20 to your liking)
This should do it
Let me know if you need anything else

SoniaMemberHii The header of this theme should be exactly 800x340 pixels according to the tutorial Jodi P posted above,which is resized to 400x170
So if you want your header to be 500px it needs to 1000px when you upload it.And to do this you also need to change the dimensions.The tutorial above explains how to do it.
Let me know if you have any questions about the tutorial

SoniaMemberYou should change the css code for the header in your style.css
Look for this code and change accordingly
.header-image .site-header {
background-position: center !important;
background-size: 400px (change this) 170px (change this) !important;
}adjust the code accordingly

SoniaMemberHi Pierre-Yves.. Hooks go in the functions.php if you don't want to mess with it you could use the plugin Genesis simple hooks it gives you a list of hooks under which you can paste your code and about the custom page - if you want to create a custom page (not use the default options) then you will need to create a custom page template.
