    Hi

    Does anyone know how to increase the area a logo would show on the header of foodie theme? It's set up for retina displays however there is no flexibility on what size logo you can put in there. I want to add a logo that will be wider than what the theme will allow. It will only allow something about 400px wide.

    You can change the Php in the functions file to match your image

    and then change the CSS under the Site Header section of the style.css file to match also.

    The theme has me upload an image that is 800 x 340 for retina displays, it's really only displaying the image at about half that size. So in the Php functions file I saw where it said the header was 800 x 340 but couldn't find where it scales it back. Clearly I don't know code so figured there was something going on to make the logo I have show smaller. I just can't find where that is or if that's even what's going on.

    You should change the css code for the header in your style.css

    Look for this code and change accordingly

    .header-image .site-header {
    background-position: center !important;
    background-size: 400px (change this) 170px (change this) !important;
    }

    adjust the code accordingly

    Thank you! As this theme has this set up for retina displays, it appears that the required size is exactly twice the size in the code you found above. So the theme is resing it down so that if people enlarge the page, the logo is still sharp. Would I then need to make the logo twice the size of the code I put in the CSS file? For example if I make a logo that is 500 px wide the logo I upload would need to be 1000 px wide?

    Hi Christina,

    You can find instructions for how to increase the size of the logo space at the bottom of this tutorial: http://shaybocks.com/add-logo-header-foodie-pro-theme/

    Hii The header of this theme should be exactly 800x340 pixels according to the tutorial Jodi P posted above,which is resized to 400x170

    So if you want your header to be 500px it needs to 1000px when you upload it.And to do this you also need to change the dimensions.The tutorial above explains how to do it.

    Let me know if you have any questions about the tutorial

    Hi! I'm new to blogging so please be patient with me!

    I see that Foodie Pro suggests 800 x 340 but as stated above, it doesn't fit the width of the site. I see where to make the changes. How do I know how to big to make the image in order to fit? What should the actual dimensions be to change as stated above?
