I have a good reason (I think). My post editor is customized to show boxes, so it's easier to set up a post. That's the reason.

Thanks Tony, I realized that I had that piece of code added to my functions.
But I changed the width from 750px to auto (don't know if that's good), but now the pictures are resized correctly on a smaller screen.

I removed the grid by renaming the home.php file. So I'll only need to get a list of posts below another with title and featured image. But I don't mind getting the same function on the grid also (for if I decide to change the look back).

I'm using Yoast's SEO plugin, so I don't know what Genesis' own SEO options are.
But you can easily choose your homepage author from the Social menu under Google+ in Yoast's plugin.

But what I meant was when you split your post in two or more pages, you get some dull page number in the genesis theme.

But I want to have something that looks like what you get with the twenty thirteen theme.

Before I add the code to my site, I need to say that I think I found what is causing all this.
I used this code to add credits to my photo captions.

i know nothing about this, but in firefox it gives the following error:

The image "http://chameleonseo.com/favicon.ico" could not be displayed because it contains errors.

Maybe you should check how you uploaded it.
