    It is working much better than the first time. You can still see there is a line misplaced by my social media widgets. I can make it go away if I don't include the widget above it with my about/contact links. Anyway to get rid of it without having to completely get rid of those links?

    Hmm, okay. I would be willing to mess with my PHP but I have messed with it before and its been a headache. I really would just like to be able to remove the required fields asterisk and get rid of the website field. Trying to just clean it up a bit.

    Yes, but I wanted it to go horizontal across the top of the page. I think I like the way it is for now. I appreciate the willingness to help though Jeff.

    That time it worked. So, just for future reference how do I find the page ID? I know it is by viewing the source code but how do I get there? Thanks Brad.

    I pasted that but the simple share widget is still showing up on those two pages.

    Add the simple hooks plugin?

    I have used firebug to inspect the page. The two for now that I want to remove it from are these:

    http://www.diathletes.com/about/

    http://www.diathletes.com/contact/

    I'm trying to learn how to do it so I can repeat it if I ever need it again.

    I know how to remove them in my style.css but won't that remove them from my entire website? I want to just remove them from those two pages which it sounds like is why I need the hooks plugin.

    What is my next step after installing the plugin?

    Thanks again.

    Brad,
    Thank you for the help. I'm not very experienced with this so I think the vocab is what is confusing for me. It sounds like what I want to do it setup a widget for after posts but I'm not really sure after that.

    Where you had the 'post' would I add the URL to the page that I don't want to widget area to show up? Could you give me some more clarification for how this works?

    Thanks again for your help.

    Brad,
    Where would I create the new widget area? Do I paste that in a particular area in my style.css?

    Thanks for the suggestion. I may not be using it correctly but when I tried it it just jammed up all my content in the sidebar.

    Victor,
    Thank you for the help across these forums. I as a new guy really appreciate people like you. You've taught me that I can paste that into my style.css just about anywhere. I was worried it had to go into a certain location.

    Thank you!

    I will certainly check out those tutorials. I will also play around with the CSS as I am learning more and more everyday. Thank you for those explanations though too!

    So, just to make sure I am understanding you correctly... If I change the font like you explained there then that will be the default font for each new post title or will I have to change it for each post title as I go?

    Also, is serif the font type? Do I ever have to change that to something else? What is that there for?
    .entry-title {
    font-family: 'MyNewFont', serif;
    font-size: 36px;
    line-height: 1;
    }

    I am back up and running but had to restore a website file backup. Another 15 minutes and it should be back.

    Marcy,
    This is super helpful! I applied the change to eliminate the floating header and now I think I like it when it stays put even as one would scroll through my posts. But, I do want to still add a subscribe option form in that header section. When I tried to add it before, I noticed that it was out of the screen view and you couldn't scroll to get it it. Is there a way to make it so that it scrolls down a little bit so I have some room? Or, where else would you suggest me putting a subscription form?

    Perhaps, I can figure out how to move the sidebar over and then create enough room for a sidebar on both sides of the page. The one on the left will be how it is and then the one on the right can have a sign up form?

    I like what you are saying about the widgets at the bottom and I will definitely look into those but I want to be able to have something on the top of the page as well. I am working on a pop up but honestly don't really want that on my site. I want people to come read and not be bothered to just subscribe.
