ParticipantOK. Thank you very much, Anita! ?‘?🏿

ParticipantThanks, Rick.
So if I understand you correctly, you're finding that using occasional Elementor blocks/widgets in Genesis/WordPress pages works better than creating a whole page using Elementor.
What StudioPress child theme are you using?

ParticipantI'm a code novice, please bear with me regarding these questions. 🙂
So, will Gutenberg will eliminate the need for plugins like Blox?
Also, I'm thinking of toying with learning Bootstrap. Will that be necessary with Gutenberg?
Thanks.

ParticipantAlso Christopher, I looked at the Genesis Simple Hooks plugin and found 2 things:
- It hasn't been updated in a long time
- It's not compatible with current WordPress software updates
Is it's advantage over Blox simply that it doesn't add to functions.php and therefore reduces bloat? Just need some clarification.
Thanks! 🙂

ParticipantThanks, Christoph.
You can also register and output widget areas on pages by adding code to functions.php (and a page template).
Do you mean that the resulting code from the plugin can be transferred to the functions.php file?

ParticipantDoh!
That's the problem with working tired — one misses the obvious. 🙂
Thanks!

ParticipantOK. Sure.
Thank you for your attention.

ParticipantThanks for responding, Jackie.
I looked there and "Front Page Displays" was set to "A Static Page..." with no page selected. Changed it to "Your Latest Posts" and it seems to be fine (?).
I had only removed "Home" from the menu (under "Appearance").

ParticipantSo, the content protection plugin would have to work with one of the WP registration form plugins?
What's the suggested content protection plugin?
Thanks.
