July 24, 2013 at 3:27 pm in reply to: Best Tutorials for building a Genesis Site from Scratch #52332netviperMemberHi Brad,
Again, what you sent is super basic stuff. That is not what I am asking.
As for 100's of blogs showing how to do what I am asking, kindly send me a link because I sure haven't found a good one.
Also, I do have extender. It makes it life much easier, but I would like to be to able to do it without extender -- hence the reason for my post. 😉

Thanks though.

I love Genesis, but man the instructions are weak.
netviperMemberI have used Extender. Its pretty good stuff.
I do not like using the extender css because your css is in two places, so if I used it again I would probably just work with one CSS file.
I do feel like it is cheating though. I want to just do it from scratch, but its hard and there are not any good tutorials on it.
netviperMemberThanks David. It looks like they are all good for multilingual support.
netviperMemberHe didn't say exactly what he did, but it had to do with resizing the thumbnails. I think he used a plug-in to regenerate them.
netviperMemberOzzy fixed it. He is the best.
netviperMemberNevermind. I didn't close the query.
netviperMemberThat moved.mobi site looks really awful. Its hard to take it seriously.
For bloggers, I think they have no need for a mobile site, just turn on the WP plugin. Bloggers is not who I am talking about.
netviperMemberYes, a responsive site is better, but if you are dealing with someone with a small budget, that is not an option. Having a simple mobile site, with minimal content to avoid duplicate content issues is a good alternative. Especially for 10 a month.
netviperMemberBecause people access their sites on their mobile phones, not just ipads. Thats why.
netviperMemberI have been checking out dudamobile.com. I like it a lot, but you never own the site, so I don't like that at all. Basically you are renting a mobile site. Its really cheap though, so it might be a good option.
netviperMemberAnyone?
netviperMemberI think I got it. I need the text in the exerpt.
netviperMemberBill has a good point. Why not something like DarleneSells.com or DarlaneSellsHomes.com or DarlenesHome.com
netviperMemberOzzy Rules!
netviperMemberPretty much all of them.
For whatever reason, I guess associate doesn't actually put the footer widgets in the footer, so when I use the footer hooks it is in the wrong place.
