    I have tried changing themes and yes, it only happens when i activate the Sample Child, Minima Pro and Balance. After reverting to Twenty Thirteen, the editor is back.

    Hi Dave,

    I do not have a multisite.

    We even went as far as reinstalling everything.
    After a fresh install and a new theme the Editor wil be gone.
    I am about to purchase another theme today but i am worried
    that if this is genesis related i will end up having issues for long.

    Would you know about what plugins can damage the database?
    So far that is the only new thing I heard since having this issue

    i can't get back to the dashboard either so i just had to delete my WP installation and reinstall

    i wonder if this also affects blogs that recently updated WP version
