Thanks for your reply.
Although I didn't show them, I am using the standard breakpoints that are provided with the Outreach theme (max-width 860 and max-width 480). The additional breakpoint I mentioned above is a test iPhone specific breakpoint that I added to try to accommodate the fact that the standard breakpoints give me the half-width display on iPhone only. That is the issue I am trying to address.
msummersMemberWay to go! Thanks - that solves a big mystery for me. Is that described anywhere in the theme documentation? Thank you!
December 24, 2015 at 7:06 am in reply to: Add Phone Number *above* Header Menu – Workstation Pro #174737msummersMemberI have added this function and it works, but it also kills the whole menu altogether -
add_action( 'wp_nav_menu', 'GWS_wrap', 5 );
function gws_wrap() {
$wrap = '<div id="Phone">(215) 536-9550</div>' . $wrap;
return $wrap;
}I would be grateful for any suggestions on how to make this approach work!

Do you know a way?
December 18, 2015 at 2:02 pm in reply to: Add Phone Number *above* Header Menu – Workstation Pro #174281msummersMemberJulia - I appreciate your sticking with this thread. I may have painted myself into a corner given the few tweaks I made to the header to enlarge it for my logo. The page in question is here - http://192.185.156.125/~bhginsco. If I hook to genesis_before_ header, the phone sits above the header (duh), and if I hook to genesis_header, the phone number is there, but it's blocked from moving to the right beyond the nav-primary element. The phone number in yellow is what I positioned up there. Can you see any way around this (if you have time to look)?
December 18, 2015 at 1:12 pm in reply to: Add Phone Number *above* Header Menu – Workstation Pro #174260msummersMemberJulia: Thanks for the reply. The logo is supposed to fit snugly within that header region, so there is not really space up there for another widget area. Any way I can get around that? I'd prefer to do it this way rather than with the use of positioning (which is how I have done it temporarily).
msummersMemberGinger - thanks for your important reply. You are so right. After several days with no activity on this thread, I decided to do precisely what you suggest, and found "Workstation Pro". It offered just what I was looking for, and was easy to tweak. I guess I learned something here!
Thanks again...
December 17, 2015 at 4:11 pm in reply to: Workstation Pro: adding content after featured page widget #174131msummersMemberThanks - I get it. Now, back to my question, I tried your first approach by registering a new widget area that I then placed below the widget area carrying my three columns (in front-page.php), but it would not show up on the page, which loaded without error. Then I remembered that I had not used the widget area called FRONT PAGE-3 in Workstation! It is located right where I wanted my new 3-column content to go, so I just added a text widget to FRONT PAGE-3, and entered the code for three cols, just like what was in the previous 3-col content. Although I don't like putting too much code into widgets like that, it worked fine. I'm going with it! 🙂
Thanks for your help anyhow...

December 17, 2015 at 6:39 am in reply to: Workstation Pro: adding content after featured page widget #174046msummersMemberOh, thank you! That seems pretty obvious now that you mention it... 🙂
I'll post back with my results.
