    I would place it at the bottom. Make it easier to find if you need to edit.

    Thanks for the input.  However, I was worried that if the News Theme ever has an update it would wipe out what I have done.  I could keep a copy locally but I was hoping there was a way to create another css file to store everything in.

    Peter,

    I never did figure out the issue.  The only thing I could tell it was happening with all my sites at the time.  I had several setup under a WordPress Multi-Site install.  I don't have a lot of experience working with mult-site so I ended up creating a stand alone install for the site giving me trouble.  Works fine now.

    I'm sure there is some type of fix but I couldn't waste anymore time on it.
