    Thanks IanP, the image was the right size in Media but I didn't have the right image size settings on responsive slider when I added the image to the post. It must have created its own version at the reduced size. I have now deleted it off the post, deleted it from media, then reloaded the image again as the featured image and now it works fine.

    I have now resolved the problem. I deleted both Crystal and Genesis themes from the site and activated TwentyEleven. I logged out of the site. Downloaded both themes from StudioPress again. Uploaded these to the site. Logged on again, previewed the Crystal theme then activated it. All the widgets and the Portfolio page are now exactly as they should be. WoooHoooo!!!

    I have tried reloading the Genesis theme from the latest downloaded from StudioPress and I now have the Footer 1 & 2 and Footer Disclaimer showing in the Widgets area but not Home Top Left, Home Middle and Home Bottom 1,2& 3. I have also noticed that I do not have the Portfolio page settings in the Genesis theme.

    Thanks anitac. http://www.spapparel.co is the address. The home page looks right, all the segments are there, it is just that I don't have them in the widgets section to configure contents.

    Thanks for your help but I thought it simpler to start again as I had not done that much development yet. I copied the Crystal and Genesis themes up to the Themes folder on the live site then activated the Crystal theme. OK apart from only having the Header Right, Primary & Secondary sidebar showing in the widgets area. I have just posted a new query on this but do you have any ideas?

    I should add that I have a number of plugins installed and a few pages and posts already setup.
