MemberOk, great, I'm getting there! I have the underline. Now, I want a little more space between the word and the underline, can you get me there?
I want it to look exactly like her hyperlink and underline, a very clean look and a little gap under the word: http://wellnessmama.com/3610/magnesium-deficiency/
Would you know what to do next?

MemberThank you so much, I'm going to try this. But, how do I go directly to "line 1805" or any specific line? There's a lot of code.

MemberSorry for the delay Julia, I never got a notification. It is set to "a static page" exactly how it was before the restore.
I just went in to my editor today and found all the code gone out of the file 1front-page.php and just "404". I downloaded what looked to be the correct code for the 1front-page.php where the 404 was and still the "home" widgets are not showing.
I think something got wiped out during the restore. Someone suggested removing my magazine theme and then re-install, but I've customized that theme, not sure what I would lose (widgets, data, etc...) I do have a copy of my files of that theme from the css and theme functions. Do I need to copy anything else, so I do not lose anything I have now. Restoring my child theme (magazine) may need to be done. IDK?
Any thoughts, I'd really appreciate it.

MemberThanks Brad, the box is checked to execute short codes, and it's still showing on my blog and categories page. I read your article, but I want that code on all pages, not just my home page. Any further suggestions? I'm not code saavy at all.

MemberFolks do not install the code as suggested! A plugin (genesis simple hooks) very easily does the trick!

MemberYou say editing my functions php file, do you mean copying the code from #1 and #2 you posted and simply pasting it in at the bottom of my php file? I'll need more step by step, I'm not real comfortable with that.
Also, is there an easier (safer than changing the code) way to do this, like using a widget or plugin?
Thank you

MemberThanks Lauren! Can you type out what the code would be for site description and title?
I'm a newbie. Thank you!!

MemberHi Lauren,
What would the CSS code look like to show the tagline?
melissamal
MemberI figured it out, bad code I had to remove.

MemberThank you thank you!!! Lesson learned, I added some code to try to do some customizations and it didn't work and I never removed to code. You guys on this forum are life savers!

MemberIt still isn't working. I've tripled the width and gone down to 1px and neither are creating change. I made my logo a little smaller too.
I even tried changing the "padding" and nothing.
Does it need a command like "top"?
Any other suggestions? Thank you!
I want my header to look very similar to this one: http://www.healthylivinghowto.com
Including adding my pic just like this with the title (which I don't know how to do either)Thank you again

MemberThank you Lauren, but it still is not working. I updated the functions and css, I just followed your instructions and it still is not giving me a larger header. I set it to 1000x200 and the size it's showing on my blog is the exact same as the smaller default. And I am using a 1000x200 picture.
My blog: http://www.integrativenutritionaltherapies.com
Any other suggestions? I must be missing something. I only changed the height to 200 and width to 1000, am I suppose to change anything else?

MemberHi Susan
I'm having the same dilemma. I updated my new larger header size in the functions.php, but can you tell me exactly what and where I update in the css. I'm totally new to coding. Thanks so much!
