I should also correct my original entry above from July 1, 2021. The URL I reference does NOT show the posts how I want them (unless I have achieved another fix in the meantime). It shows the run-on format-less excerpt.

I would like these to look like they do on a blog page or a category page such as https://istfp.org/category/seminars/, with THE_CONTENT.

Thank you both of you who posted to this open item. It is still not resolved and something that StudioPress or WP Engine should attend to.

Both slb535 and I made it clear, we want the_content and not the_excerpt. Easy to say modify the block, but not so easy to do, and then we wouldn't get future updates if we had to rename the whole plugin.

This block is the only way latest posts can be shown on the home page along with anything else. Otherwise we have to set the home page to show latest posts and it is no longer a "page" within which other blocks can be added.

If StudioPress or WP Engine would just add a choice for US to choose the_excerpt or the_content, and then if the_content is chosen, remove the field for number of characters for the_excerpt, the block would be fully useful. Right now, if someone wants the list format, we get a plain, run-on display where, as slb535 pointed out, lists do not show, sub-headings do not show, etc.

The native WordPress Latest Posts block will pull full content, formatted. Not sure about the grid, though.

I need Post and Page Grid Block to show the excerpt but WITH the post's content formatted properly.

Perfect! Thank you pixelloop. I had actually looked in that file; not sure why it didn't jump out at me.

Yes, a customized version of Beautiful, as noted.

I am not trying to reposition the nav. I am trying to make it non-responsive when in the footer by any method, two possibilities noted.
