Ahhhh... so they're not using "stock" WP and theme then. This demo can be very misleading for folks who purchase the theme hoping to easily replicate the demo. I followed the setup directions and didn't come across any instructions on how to replicate these two columns.

regarding #2... How did SP do it it in their demo? I doubt they used Genesis grid... or did they?July 28, 2014 at 1:27 pm in reply to: Remove word "home," "about," etc from pages Lifestyle Pro #116125korg007MemberThanks guys,
I was able to do it by using CSS. (removing the border atrribute of a class)
Cheers,!July 25, 2014 at 12:52 pm in reply to: Removing the word HOME on the home page – Lifestyle Pro #115842korg007MemberThanks! I just read this link. Learned lots!
However, I don't see how for instance, I could add the class "contact-us" so I could then use .contact-us in css.
Is this possible?July 25, 2014 at 12:02 pm in reply to: Removing the word HOME on the home page – Lifestyle Pro #115837korg007MemberI got it! Thanks!
by the way, In this case, ".home" existed as a class but ....in WP is there a way to "name" pages in order to target them in CSS?July 25, 2014 at 10:14 am in reply to: Remove word "home," "about," etc from pages Lifestyle Pro #115828korg007MemberThanks for this!
It partially worked... because it does leave the faint .entry-header border (faint horizontal line) on the page on which the title has been removed. How do we also remove this horizontal line (border) when the title is "removed" on pages using the plugin?
Cheers!
Gkorg007MemberI've had a quick look and those look fantastic!
Have a good one!
Once again... Thanks Dave!
Gkorg007MemberThanks Dave. Very likely this is what occurred as all was correctly in its place.
Thanks again!
I mostly use Joomla for my web dev. Which online resource would you recommend for me to learn the finer details of Genesis? (sometimes, the creator's site is not the best option)korg007MemberThanks. Than it's a mystery as to why my new widget with hook genesis_after_header was not appearing.
Oh well... found a workaround.
Cheers,
Gkorg007MemberThanks David,
I'll do some digging for the doc. Thanks for the link to the visual hooks.
I'm still baffled as to why using 'genesis_after_header' did note generate any output at all.
I'm assuming you're allowed to have two actions using the same hook.
Cheerskorg007MemberThanks to you both.
David, you were on the right track. I was missing this in front-page.php://* Add home intro widgets add_action( 'genesis_loop', 'enterprise_home_intro_widgets' );
Here's something odd though. Originally, I had
//* Add home intro widgets add_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'enterprise_home_intro_widgets' );
But this did nothing. If someone could explain why changing genesis_after_header to genesis_loop did the trick, I would learn something 🙂
@David, how do you use "hooks" to do something like this ? If you just provide pointers, I should be able to figure the rest.

Very simple... in the end.
I simply created a menu of type "custom" where I added my FB url. I then added the class "facebook-prl-s24" in the class field for this menu. I then played around with the CSS until it appears as I wanted it. I did the same for Twitter.I hope this helps.

Thanks Brad.
I had to add the correct CSS to the plugin's CSS file.
Thanks again for your willingness to help.korg007MemberHI Rick,
Did you get this plugin to work?
I've followed the directions but no social icon appear, just the menu item name appears.
Thanks for any tip.korg007MemberThanks for the warning essaysnark
I have to look at the Jetpack features to see if it warrants adding complexity to the site.
Cheerskorg007MemberThanks cwalsh,
That's the strange thing, I am leaving the widget title areal blank. I'd rather do that than changing the CSS in this case.Any idea why the title would be showing even with the title blank in the backend?
korg007MemberThanks. I'll definitely consider it. Just wasn't sure if it's swiss army knife everyone should have.
korg007MemberI see that Jetpack includes this option.
Should I add Jetpack? being somewhat new to WP, Is Jetpack plugin one of those "must install" plugins?
korg007MemberThanks a million braddalton !
Just what I was looking for. I appreciate your help.
