ALso, I think I'd be OK with the social icons in that widget area going away if they have to because I can always find another way to put those somewhere else. But I definitely would like to get the header looking better

Do I need to move the code to the .site-header area below on the code?

Ok, I have deactivated the cache plugin. In Firefox, now I see the header, but it's still not centered and my menu and the social icons in the header widget area are blank white. Id attach a screen shot if I could...

Ok. Unfortunately, the info Sridhar, did not work. I keep getting an error message and have to reload the original functions.php file.

Andrea - I added the header via Appearance > Header. I have changed the dimensions inside the functions.php to reflect the new size (1600x60) and in the stylesheet as well. However, what I can't figure out is why the header doesn't center over the page. Any other ideas?

HI Andrea! I removed the header on the home page only via here: http://www.studiopress.community/topic/remove-header-home-page-minimum-pro/ And have added it through the appearance > header area.

I will try placing the code here that Sridhar explained and keep you both posted!

Hello! These codes have been fantastic! Thank you!

I am also curious how I can change the background to a darker color?

Great thanks so much! I just got the theme uploaded today and ready to insert content. I will give the Soliloquy a whirl! Thank you!

Perfect. Yes, this worked. I had the text and everything done inside the "Simple Edits" , so that was great, but this helped get the content into the center of the page. Thank you!

Ah yes, thank you!! I could've sworn that I'd deleted and reloaded, but went ahead and did that and sure enough it's showing just fine now!

Ryan- Thank you! Naturally, once I had a place to look, it popped right out. Looks like there was an extra div by the dividing line area and it wasn't closed. I also like the Chrome debugger - I've never really used it before. Thanks for sharing your resources and help!

Ok, according to the developer of the TablePress, this is not a plugin issue. So I am not sure where to troubleshoot this.  I'm attaching a link for the home.php and the functions.php. These are the only 2 php files for this theme. I've also attached the source code for this specific page.

Any help would be appreciated. It's hard to trace other people's steps!

No. Just a standard content/sidebar template.  I get confused looking at the source coding on this page, as I can see where the content-wrap is, but Im not sure where to move it to so it moves up

Ok, I am not finding that inside here. Here is the stylesheet:

What also concerns me is that if I disable the tablepress, then it doesn't fix the issue.

Ok, that is defintiely weird. It must be tied to something with the TablePress plugin because you can add special CSS right into it for the table formatting and everything was fine until then.

Do you have the code that you used to insert the sidebar back into the wrap? I hadn't even gone into the main Editor yet to see what could be missing

Got it! Changed over the JS function so that it wasn't conflicting with the home code and was still  able to use the same classes
