Thanks @braddalton - The plugin WP Display header does not work, it only replaces the front header image not the back header image. That is the problem with most of the above mentioned solutions, it addresses the front header image and not the background header image.

The only solution I could find is with CSS: locate the id of the page and assign an image to it....it is probably not the best solution but it works.

.page-id-26 .site-header {
background: url("image/header.jpg") no-repeat top center fixed;
background-size: cover;
}

I did my background size as "contain" instead of "cover" to have a better look on all devices....

Anyway I hope this will help someone else or get them to a better solution than this.

Hi, could you please let us know how you managed to do the different headers for each page? You seem to be the only one I can find that figured it out?
