    Ah right - I should have thought of that!

    I did it this way for the blog page:

    .page-template-page_blog-php .site-title > a,
    .archive .site-title > a,
    .single-post .site-title > a {
    background-image: url(/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/cropped-titlelight2.png) !important;
    }

    So maybe try to take out the .header-image in your code and just do the .site-title.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply. I can add widgets and know how to add a home page widget - but I guess I was looking for clarification on having a sidebar with full width widgets above and below (I guess it isn't any different than the footer above and below) and having homepage widgets to the left of the sidebar.

    Thanks!

    Okay, nevermind - it wasn't where I thought it was, just changed this code in the css file:

    .home-middle .widget:hover,
    .home-top .widget:hover {
    background-color: #13579a;
    }
