    I would like to use a different LOGO on the homepage than all other interior pages.

    I have tried targeting the .home page with a different background image.

    .header-image .site-title > a
    background: url(images/logo-general.png) no-repeat left;

    and creating a

    .home .header-image .site-title > a
    background: url(images/logo-home.png) no-repeat left;

    This did not work. I have found suggestions for having different header IMAGES but not a different logo.

    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    In order to do what you want, you need to move the logo from the background into an img tag. This article will show you how to do this: http://victorfont.com/genesis-seo-schema-site-logo/

    Once you've got this done, you can use jQuery to change the img source based on the page you are on. It's going to take some coding, but it is doable.

    I did it this way for the blog page:

    .page-template-page_blog-php .site-title > a,
    .archive .site-title > a,
    .single-post .site-title > a {
    background-image: url(/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/cropped-titlelight2.png) !important;
    }

    So maybe try to take out the .header-image in your code and just do the .site-title.

    The home page has a specific body class body.home you just need to style the logo using CSS specificity just for the home page and the global style for the rest of the site.

    .site-title > a {
       background-image: url(/wp-content/uploads/...);
       ... sizes and other styles ...
    }

    body.home .site-title > a {
       ... styles for the home page with a different url ...
    }

    The body.home .site-title > a will inherit styles form the first, but the former won't inherit body.home .site-title styles and so you will just swap the path and the sizes. Make sure you get the mobile media queries too.
