MemberFor some more context - I've had some progress at least getting just the category page to work by creating at category.php file.
You can see on http://test.younghouselove.com/category/random that I've sort of got the looked started (very roughly) thanks to this tutorial: http://www.matthodder.com/add-masonry-effect-to-genesis-blog/
But it's not as dynamic as I'd like. I've also looked at these tutorials, but can't figure out how to make any of them apply to just the category.php page - not the whole front page of the site.

MemberThanks for that link. I had found that previously, but was having trouble executing Step 3: Add Masonry Loop to Templates. I am trying to make the modification just to a category.php file I created in my child theme.
Thanks!

MemberI had this same question and found the Pin It theme you mentioned nutsandbolts. Does anyone know how to get that theme to just show on certain pages? I don't want my whole blog to display that way, but would love category pages for display that way.
