December 20, 2012 at 2:06 pm in reply to: How Can I Display Genesis-Boxes using Custom Fields? #6495Jen BaumannParticipant
This is totally untested code. I just did it real quick to give you an idea of what you might do.
/** Add Genesis Box on Single Posts */
add_action( 'genesis_after_post_content', 'include_genesis_box', 11 );
function include_genesis_box() {
if ( is_single() )
$genesis_box = genesis_get_custom_field( 'box_select' );
if ( $genesis_box == 'listbuilding-box') {
require( CHILD_DIR.'/listbuilding-box.php' );
}
if ( $genesis_box == 'hosting-box') {
require( CHILD_DIR.'/hosting-box.php' );
}
}Jen BaumannParticipantMy apologies. That should go in functions.php. Most code posted like that would go in that file unless otherwise specified. I do notice that the h1 tags I added to that code were removed. You can add them back in around the words Search Results.
Jen BaumannParticipantYou can adjust any element for just that page using the body class Brian defined in his tutorial.
.custom-landing .whatever-element {
}December 20, 2012 at 8:32 am in reply to: Simple Social Icons Widget – Title Background Cropped #6397Jen BaumannParticipantThanks for sharing!
Jen BaumannParticipantYou mean you want 2 separate green boxes instead of 2 widgets in one green box?
If so you need to move the styling of home-feature-sidebar to home-feature-sidebar .widget.
Jen BaumannParticipantYou can try this:
/* Add Extra Page Title on Search */
add_action( 'genesis_before_loop', 'search_title');
function search_title() {
if ( is_search() ) {
echo 'Search Results';
}
}I'm not sure I'd use an h1 though. Your search results title will be the same no matter what is searched for. I usually use an h4 and style it.
Jen BaumannParticipantThe Agency Theme uses the custom header function located under Appearance > Header.
Jen BaumannParticipantThe inline styles are output as part of the plugin. You're probably looking at .ufo-form-submit-success & .ufo-form-submit-failure and will have to override the inline styles in your stylesheet.
.ufo-form-submit-success, .ufo-form-submit-failure {
something: something !important;
}Jen BaumannParticipantGlad that worked! You're very welcome!
Jen BaumannParticipantYes, that is a good suggestion!
Jen BaumannParticipantHave you tried deactivating plugins to see if that solves the issue?
Jen BaumannParticipantYeah, commenting out the responsive when changing to max-width 960px isn't going to completely do it. You'll have to adjust widths elsewhere since many of the widths adjustments are also in the responsive part.
Jen BaumannParticipantYou also need to remove the viewport metatag from functions.php
/** Add Viewport meta tag for mobile browsers */
add_action( 'genesis_meta', 'executive_add_viewport_meta_tag' );
function executive_add_viewport_meta_tag() {
echo '';
}Jen BaumannParticipantI'm baking cookies 🙂
Happy Birthday to your Dad, Nick!
Jen BaumannParticipantYes, the footer and the footer widgets would need different css.
I don't see that other code working on your site at all. This works for me just fine in Firebug:
#footer-widgets a, #footer-widgets a:visited {
color: #444444;
text-decoration: none;
}Edit: I just looked at your stylesheet. Your separator is likely causing an issue as it isn't a proper comment for a stylesheet. Look at the sections above that use comments like:
/* Responsive Design
------------------------------------------------------------ */I suggest using firebug. It's an invaluable tool for looking at the HTML source of your site as well as the css. It will even let you test changes before making them live. http://www.studiopress.com/tips/using-firebug.htm
Jen BaumannParticipantIt would be
#footer a,
#footer a:visited {
color: #C31900;
font-weight: normal;
text-decoration: underline;
}
Then, change the color to what you would like.Jen BaumannParticipantThanks (blush)! And you're welcome and happy holidays!
Jen BaumannParticipantErg, yes, I'm sorry. The body classes are wrong and that plugin doesn't actually add any. Remove the first block of code I suggested above (leave the description one) and Try this:
#title-area, #title, #title a {
display: block;
float: left;
height: 179px;
overflow: hidden;
padding: 0;
text-indent: -9999px;
width: 550px;
}Jen BaumannParticipantYou should have this in your css:
.header-image #title-area, .header-image #title, .header-image #title a {
display: block;
float: left;
height: 179px;
overflow: hidden;
padding: 0;
text-indent: -9999px;
width: 550px;
}And for #description:
#description {
color: #6195A6;
font-size: 12px;
font-style: italic;
font-weight: normal;
margin: 0;
text-indent: -9999px;
text-shadow: 1px 1px #FFFFFF;
}December 18, 2012 at 10:06 am in reply to: WP Update = No visual editor and content showing in posts (admin area) #5944Jen BaumannParticipantYou're welcome. Yes, we are aware of the 404 issue and working on the problem.
