As with any changes made (developmentally) you would then need to adjust the design to suit.

James ChaiMemberAlternately you can check out this 'Genesis' specific plugin. You can place a form/survey in an easy to access 'Modal' and collect desired info/data.

James ChaiMember1) Do you have any examples of sites that you would like to emulate?
2) Hosting videos on Youtube/Vimeo is highly suggested as it will decrease your server resources. In short host elsewhere and embed the vids.

James ChaiMember1) Check to see if the slider doesn't have 'Full Width' option.
or
2) Once installed target .front-page-1 along with the slider in your style sheet to a width of 100%.
Tip: Posting a link always helps other better determine what you may/may not need to do.

James ChaiMemberAny titles and/or meta in particular?
Try any/all of these depending on what suits you.
//Removes Title and Description on CPT Archive remove_action( 'genesis_before_loop', 'genesis_do_cpt_archive_title_description' ); //Removes Title and Description on Blog Archive remove_action( 'genesis_before_loop', 'genesis_do_posts_page_heading' ); //Removes Title and Description on Date Archive remove_action( 'genesis_before_loop', 'genesis_do_date_archive_title' ); //Removes Title and Description on Archive, Taxonomy, Category, Tag remove_action( 'genesis_before_loop', 'genesis_do_taxonomy_title_description', 15 ); //Removes Title and Description on Author Archive remove_action( 'genesis_before_loop', 'genesis_do_author_title_description', 15 ); //Removes Title and Description on Blog Template Page remove_action( 'genesis_before_loop', 'genesis_do_blog_template_heading' );

April 25, 2017 at 4:18 pm in reply to: SEO friendly Theme Recommendations for Water Sports Company #205301James ChaiMemberBy default (HTML5) Genesis child themes are SEO friendly.
Once you set a SEO friendly perma-link structure (i.e. /%category%/%postname%/) in your WordPress instal you can then opt to use either the built in Genesis SEO options or a plugin like YOAST.
Either way your 'Footprint' (amount of pages) and how well they are optimized for your desired keywords along with over 500+ other Google ranking factors will ultimately determine if you receive any 'Google Love'.

James ChaiMemberThe updates you are referring to would come to either WordPress (core) and/or Genesis Framework.
That is the point of the child themes, to allow changes/edits and not have to worry about them over-writting changes made when updates occur.
As @victorfont suggested you may want to save a copy of the child theme locally so you can start over if necessary.

James ChaiMemberUsing the code we came up with above try playing around with the 'Media Queries' settings.
You may consider uploading smaller background images to accommodate smaller screen sizes and the other settings you decrease.

James ChaiMemberNavigate to your style.css file, find the following and try
.genesis-nav-menu { display: none; }
Also when you create a menu DO NOT select a primary and/or secondary location option.
