Yes, that did it, thanks so much!
janburgMemberAlmost. The footer now reads:
<div class="gototop">Return to Top of Page</div><div class="creds">Copyright © 2014 Designs by Donna Atlana · All Rights Reserved</div>And the link doesn't work, so I'm guessing there's an anchor saying where the top is? Just guessing...
janburgMemberThis is not one of my better days. I uploaded the style sheet from a different site which was using Twentyeleven theme. So now the site is supposedly back to where I started, with Genesis Framework and my child theme on version 1.8. The only update is to Wp 3.6. The site looks almost back to normal, with the exception that there is no main menu, and the responsiveness IS THERE! Yea for that at least.
So now, how do I get my menu back? It's set up correctly in the menu tab of the dashboard, and in the navigation tab under theme customize. Would this be a question for the WP forum?
janburgMemberMy bad - this is what I get for trying to do a web update inbetween other jobs. I'm using a TwentyEleven child theme. Doh! Curious that the image for the theme on the dashboard says Genesis Framework tho.
Back to square one, clear the head and try again.
janburgMemberGenesis Framework with my own child theme, no other.
janburgMemberas usual, 1 step backwards before i go forwards - yes, the website is wonky on the desktop as well, ugh.
I was on the Genesis Framework 1.8 until this morning, I thought that updating the site to 2.0 might make it responsive. Wrong.
What is the Viewport code? All I added was the code below the Media Queries heading to my child css, nothing else.
So maybe I should have started somewhere else in looking for responsiveness - I'm a little lost here at the moment so any directions will be greatly appreciated!
janburgMemberThanks, I need all the help I can get 🙂
janburgMemberThanks, that was it.
janburgMemberYes, I am using a child theme, sorry. I thought you were asking about a purchased or template theme.
janburgMemberFrameworks, no theme,
janburgMemberThat gets me the first column and a second very long column. There's got to be something to say third column?
janburgMemberI already checked there, that changes the size of the box which works perfectly in Firefox, but in Explorer there seems to be an underlaying box that cuts off the plugin response box on the right. This underlaying box is the one that is listed as element.style for the dimensions. But there is no corresponding html file that has that info that I can find. This interfering box has a height of 410 and a width of 200, there is nothing of that size in the plugin style.css. So it would seem to be a part of the sidebar code??? But I don't see that box on any of the other pages either, that do not have this contact form. It's not on the home page with the contact form, just on the home page after the contact form information has been submitted.
janburgMemberYeah, I know that, but just where IS this bit of html located??? Firebug just says it's element.style, I don't know what file that is in to find it. This is in the sidebar area, but it's not in the sidebar.php from Genesis or from WordPress, there is no index.html file that I am creating for this sidebar, and if it's in the html then it's not in the css.style files either. So WHERE is it?
janburgMemberThat works! Thanks.
