    I just started using the newest version of Frameworks for a new site, and can't get the page layout settings to do anything. No matter which one I click on, the page stays full width, with the sidebar(s) underneath. What am I missing here to get the sidebars on the side? Do i need to fill in the custom body class field to get this to work?

    If you mean you're using the Genesis framework then instead you should use the genesis sample child theme. The framework should be uploaded but not changed.

    Yes, I am using a child theme, sorry. I thought you were asking about a purchased or template theme.

    Look in your theme for this:

    //* Add HTML5 markup structure
    add_theme_support( 'html5' );

    See if your's says "genesis html5". If it does change it to what I posted above.

    By the way, if you need some help getting those widgets started, check out Stewart Chamberlains instructions here - http://stewartchamberlain.com/tutorials/custom-homepage-genesis-framework/. I added it to mine and it works great. I just have to add some CSS and then activate it.

    I am using the Copyblogger theme and I can't change the layout anymore. On an older post I could and still can get full width (no sidebar) . Now I can't get it to change.

    OK, I thought the problem was the free theme I was using. I purchased the EDUCATION theme and installed and still had the problem. Strange. So I set the Full Page as the default setting and set a few pages to right side bar and it works perfect.

    The new theme looks better anyway! Thanks.

    I am having this same problem! Previously, I was able to change the page layout away from the default, but now no matter what I click it won't change. I looked for the code mentioned above, but mine does not have the “genesis html5″. It just says "html5"

    I am using the Jane theme
