thank you Davinder, that worked 🙂
ghogMemberthanks Davinder but that change made no effect.
ghogMemberahhhh my bad. thanks Erik, you da man 🙂
ghogMemberThanks Erik, that has worked 90%. The only thing missing now is the background in the navigation. It is displaying on the inner pages but not on the home page.
Thanks
ghogMemberThanks again Erik. One last thing, do you have any clue why the navigation still does not display on the home page and only on the inner pages?
thank you
ghogMemberHey Erik, I would like to make a small change to this menu styling and was wondering if you mind assisting me once more please? What I want to achieve is the look of the menu/navigation when the page scrolls to be common throughout. Currently the header logo and navigation reduce in size when the page scrolls and I would like to have this appearance by default. So in essence I would like to remove the default state and just display the scrolled state all the time. Hope this makes sense 🙂
Thanks
ghogMemberanyone able to help me with this please?
ghogMemberhey thanks Brad
ghogMemberoh hey I worked out how to do this, well I read a blog that showed me 🙂
so for anyone interested I just added this tag to the section I wanted to scroll to:
<h3 id="section_one">My First Section</h3>ghogMemberAwesome. Thanks for all your help Eric.
ghogMemberhey Eric thank you so much that is amazing help mate. i added your changes and all works great. I experimented with the values but couldn't work out how to darken the transparency. Could you please explain how that works?
ghogMemberyes please I would really like to replicate their navigation, just with a few differences in height and fonts.
ghogMemberoh sorry guys I should of been clearer. i was actually referring to the navigation style of the solid block of colour with slight transparency that runs behind the menu items. By default Altitude is completely transparent with a single white line positioned under the menu. And yes I was hoping I could replicate this style with CSS. Thanks for your responses so far.
ghogMemberahhhh i see. i can't believe I didn't try that, thanks for all your help Jamie.
ghogMemberAwesome thanks Jamie
ghogMemberhey thanks Jamie. i also tried the codes below to add an image background but it didn't work for me, could you please let me know what i've done wrong?
.front-page-2 .solid-section {
background: http://www.printfree.com/Office_forms/FormImages/Graph_paper2.gif;
color: #fff;
}
and
.front-page-2 .solid-section {
background-image: http://www.printfree.com/Office_forms/FormImages/Graph_paper2.gif;
color: #fff;
}ghogMemberthanks Upthink but I tried your changes and it just made the menu div wider but didn't really solve the issue. The menu still collapses into 2 rows when i even slightly reduce the browser window. I am really hoping someone can help me with this a week on as I have never really experienced this problem with other themes and frameworks.
for anyone that has an idea please see a screen shot of the issue here: http://j.mp/1KVVtYvthanks
ghogMemberHey thanks for the feedback Upthink but I made the changes as you suggested and I am still experiencing the problem.
ghogMemberoh ok, i don't actually want the logo under the menu. all i am trying to achieve is that the menu does not collapse onto 2 rows when the browser is slightly reduced. currently there is a lot of space between the logo and the first menu item. additionally I would prefer if the mobile menu displayed instead of the menu collapsing onto two rows.
