When I look at your site on a desktop it has 2 columns and a sidebar. On iPad vertical it goes down to 2 columns and on iPhone down to one column. So I don't understand what you want?

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantThanks for that Tom, I have not yet used Centric Pro, so I didn't realize changing the nav would have that impact.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantMost of the time when you upload an image through the custom header in the dashboard it is not responsive even though your theme may be. There are work arounds for this if you are comfortable using FTP and editing your style.css file.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantP.S. It also depends on browser width.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantI've been experimenting with this too and I know it does that because of the scrolling effect. The size of your header might be an issue too.
Try putting a smaller version of your image (800 x 525) with a vignette effect on a 1600x1050 background. Put your image at the bottom to leave plenty of space above it. Mess around with the positioning of your image inside the background.And let me know if you find the ideal solution....

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantIf you want to push your icons away from the text, give them a class in the html and add margin-right: 10px; in the css

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantCreate a new rule for the p tag that is within the columns and add 20px padding-right. Then give it a min-height of about 135px.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantYou can change the position of the main navigation (not the widget) to above the header by putting the following in your functions file:
//* Reposition the primary navigation menu
remove_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'genesis_do_nav' );
add_action( 'genesis_before_header', 'genesis_do_nav' );

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantI'm not really following exactly what you want. There are several wraps one is ID #wrap which I'm guessing you are calling container. The other wraps are classes .wrap and are structural, based on whichever main block they belong to. If you want your screen width background to remain the tan colour image and the inner part (where the text is) to change to white, then you need to edit #wrap in style.css file, remove the background image and replace with background: #FFF;
You will then have to change margins and paddings because this template was not built to have a different for the background and the wrap.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipant#wrap line 371 in style.css - change out the background image for the colour you want.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantWould that be when you are on the Home page? This is normal so that people know which page they are on.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantIf you are using "Add Media" you can choose the size of the image you want to display in the right hand column.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantNo one can solve your problem from a screenshot. Not a solution to the particular problem, but why not put the navigation below the logo and just above Welcome that way everything would fit on one line, specially since you have drop down menus on the top level of your present navigation.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantNo probably not as you are pulling it in, but you can control the padding of the text-widget that you are pulling it into according to the viewport....
You can remove the background colour in the style.css file without impacting the links.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantHi Dylan,
Great looking site, I love your style! Just one nit pick, in ipad landscape the "view services" button is too high up hugging the h tag, it should be aligned with the paragraph.

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantVery nice looking site. There is a little problem on iPad landscape with the travel quiz widget escaping its box (3rd widget) . Also not keen on the green background that loads before the bg image, grey or white would be a better choice, unless there is a reason I'm missing

Lynne emasai.comemasaiParticipantSorry, this was months ago and although I got it to work on his website, I really can't remember how. It was a dev site, so unless he comes back with the URL of the working site, you would have to post yours and I will take a look.
