hi susan, this one has not been resolved. i'd love to know how to turn a regular menu into a responsive (hamburger) menu.
thanks! emily
design_agencyMemberworked like a charm!
(once i figured out there was a competing line in there that was overriding my change, that is).thanks so much!!
emilydesign_agencyMemberthanks missybunnie! i went back in to the widths and futzed around a bit more to find the right combination. all seems to be working well.
design_agencyMemberoof, sorry– looks like i have a typo in there. the correct link is here.
i've since been able to get the layout where i want it, though im struggling to figure out to point 4 different sliders to 4 unique single portfolio pages. this is where the entry to the portfolio section is now, and if you click on one of those boxes you'll see the layout is looking like that schematic (hooray!) the trouble is, all 4 of those portfolio pages have the same slider in them. i've got 3 other ones, though im not sure how to get them pointing to their respective pages. any ideas?
thanks so much for any advice, i really appreciate it.
emilydesign_agencyMembersachin, you were spot on! my ftp wasnt refreshing so i thought your fix was no go.
the code worked perfectly, thanks so much!
design_agencyMemberhi mark,
do you know of any tutorials that could point me in the right direction of your suggestion?
and i'm using the genesis responsive slider via this tutorial.
design_agencyMemberhi sachin,
thanks for the suggestion—i did as you recommended but no luck! any other ideas?
emily
design_agencyMemberthanks for your help with this. once i switched over to the yoast seo plugin everything sorted itself out.
design_agencyMemberhi davinder, thanks so much for your reply.
i have already done just as you suggest to no avail. in fact, when you click on the link to the robots.txt file google provides, it shows the contents of the file:
User-agent: *
Disallow:any other ideas about what might be going on?
thanks again,
emilydesign_agencyMemberfigured this one out:
/* white fade on rollover */
.portfolio-item a:hover {
opacity: .1;
-webkit-transition: .5s;
-moz-transition: .5s;
-ms-transition: .5s;
-o-transition: .5s;
transition: .5s;
}design_agencyMemberthanks for the hint braddalton. i tried some of the different layouts however im still not sure how to use the sidebars most effectively... i like the one for the blog, but i dont want that to appear on my portfolio pages (i'm still trying to understand how to use those sidebars properly).
that said, i was able to acheive the effect that im after by using columns, and im just curious to know if this is a bad way to do this? i've tested it in as many ways as i can but that's fairly limited to apple products, safari and chrome.
again, thanks so much for your time,
emilydesign_agencyMemberhrm, i'm not sure i've mentioned the correct page. i'm trying to modify the individual portfolio page (single-portfolio.php?), the one that you get to when you click on one of the thumbnails. that's the one i'd like to show an image (or slideshow) on the left, and a description of that image on the right.
is that what you were referring to?
before i switched to genesis and bought minimum pro, i was under the impression that these pages were really flexible in terms of layout. that i could even switch between layouts on a per page basis, yet i dont have that option when i make a new portfolio post. can you tell me what i'm missing?
thanks for your time, emily
design_agencyMemberok, gotcha... thanks for the advice!
emily
design_agencyMemberhey candace,
