Hmm. First off - wow, that's a really complex site! I like how you've displayed the product information. Am learning a lot about composition materials from trying to figure out this problem.
You're using a post template that has a widget below the individual post, right? And using a Featured Page widget (or Featured Widget Amplified) to display other posts below the general overview of Walnut Shell Filters?
What happens if you drag that widget away from that page, into the unused widgets area (so you don't lose the settings), clear the cache, and refresh the page? Does that fix the problem?

You can designate the body class on an individual post or page, and you can assign a body class to a particular category archive (I think.) Here are some tutorials/links that might be helpful:

Not sure this would be helpful here, but for future reference, Bill Erickson has a plugin that allows you to turn page titles on/off on an individual basis. You can modify it to apply to posts as well. It's Genesis Title Toggle.

Firebug will light the way to understanding the secrets of the Internet!Dorian SpeedMemberCompletely unrelated: if you're using this to filter posts based on a workflow of some sort, I would recommend you check out the superfantastic plugin Edit Flow. It uses custom statuses and lots of other neat features to flag posts that still need approval/components before they're ready for prime time. Here's a nice overview that Suzette Franck did of the plugin and its various features.

Firebug will light the way to understanding the secrets of the Internet!July 5, 2013 at 3:00 pm in reply to: How would you code a ribbon on the ends of the Primary Nav? #49406Dorian SpeedMemberI've done this, but it's been a while, so I may be misremembering and there's probably a more elegant solution.
I think you just need to make that section wider than the rest of the .wrap area.
Then create an image that's the whole navigation, including the corners, and make it the background.
Then use some negative values for the margins to scoot things around where you want them to go.I did this on this site, but it was one of the very first sites I made so it might be a hacky way of doing things - and it's not mobile-responsive. Here's the relevant CSS:
#nav {
background: transparent;
clear: both;
color: #FFFFFF;
font-size: 18px;
font-weight: 200;
height: 49px;
margin: 0 0 0 -25px;
padding: 0px 20px 0;
text-transform: uppercase;
width: 1010px;
}#nav .wrap {
background: url("images/nav.png") no-repeat scroll left bottom transparent;
height: 49px;
margin: 0 0 0 -10px;
overflow: auto;
width: 990px;
}

Firebug will light the way to understanding the secrets of the Internet!Dorian SpeedMemberWhy do you want to do this? It seems like an easier solution would be to pick a different page to be the front page of your site, rather than the blog. You'd do that via the settings in your dashboard.

Firebug will light the way to understanding the secrets of the Internet!Dorian SpeedMemberWhich is it that you want to do - exclude posts that are in a particular category from the homepage, or not have the label for that particular category name show up beneath posts that are on the homepage?
I am going to assume it's the former, in which case you should add the following code to your functions.php file. (Make sure you do this via FTP and make a backup copy of functions.php before you make any changes, because it's possible to encounter the White Screen of Death if you accidentally leave out a semicolon or other small errors when editing PHP.)
if ( is_home() ) {
query_posts( 'cat=-3' );
}That would work for the category with the ID of 3. To easily see the ID numbers for categories, posts, etc., you can install a plugin called Reveal IDs that will add a column with the ID numbers.
You can read more about how to implement this here on the codex.

Firebug will light the way to understanding the secrets of the Internet!Dorian SpeedMemberIt's possible I'm missing something here, but I think the post titles already DO link to the individual post pages. Don't they?

Firebug will light the way to understanding the secrets of the Internet!Dorian SpeedMemberIf you're using the Balance theme, I believe the portfolio page works with a widget installed in the "Portfolio" sidebar. If you install the Genesis Featured Widget Amplified plugin, you'll be able to use that to specify a post type and then sort it by meta value.

Firebug will light the way to understanding the secrets of the Internet!Dorian SpeedMemberHi, Aileen - I know this is an old post so you may have figured out an alternative. What I do in these situations is create a .png image in Photoshop that's just the color I want with, say, 80% opacity. It can be a small image - 30px square or smaller - but then if you change it to have the background be that image instead of a color, you can leave the background at 1.0 opacity (which means the text will not be altered) and still have it be semi-transparent.

Firebug will light the way to understanding the secrets of the Internet!Dorian SpeedMemberI think what I'd suggest here is that you use a Custom Menu widget and drag it into the widgeted area under the slider. There will be a drop-down inside that widget where you can choose the menu you want to display there, and you can choose - whatever your menu is called.

Firebug will light the way to understanding the secrets of the Internet!Dorian SpeedMemberLet's see - right now, are you designating a Featured Image with each blog post? I haven't worked with your particular theme but I think this may be an issue of your needing to go into each post and, on the right-hand side of the page (under the categories and tags), click on "Set Featured Image" and designate the image you want to use for the thumbnail.
If you've already done so, then we'll figure out what else you may need to do.

Firebug will light the way to understanding the secrets of the Internet!April 18, 2013 at 8:19 pm in reply to: Where do I find the hexcodes for background in minimum theme #36273Dorian SpeedMemberI'm pretty sure, with that theme, that you choose the color via the Dashboard, same place where you upload the background image. There should be settings below the place where you upload the background image that allow you to choose the background color, and that will override what's in the style.css file.

Firebug will light the way to understanding the secrets of the Internet!Dorian SpeedMemberWhich menu are you trying to reposition - the primary, or the secondary? The code you're using will move the primary menu above the header, which is what I see when I look at your site. To move the secondary menu, I believe you should use:
/** Reposition the secondary navigation menu */ remove_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'genesis_do_subnav' ); add_action( 'genesis_before_header', 'genesis_do_subnav' );

Firebug will light the way to understanding the secrets of the Internet!Dorian SpeedMemberYou need to widen both the content-sidebar wrap (the "box" that holds both the content and the primary sidebar) and then the content area inside that wrap. So you need to change the following:
#content-sidebar-wrap { float: left; width: 1020px; }
and
#content { float: left; width: 720px; }
You can fiddle with those widths if you want, but that's what is working for me.
