I am sorry I am not at my computer to look. But if you add in the #header that you have:
background-color: #1a212b!important;
#header {
background: #090909 url(images/header.png) center repeat-y;
background-color: #1a212b!important;
margin: 0 auto;
min-height: 120px;
overflow: hidden;
width: 100%;
}That should work, not the best way to do it using important but would work for now. I won't be at my computer till later today to take a look.
colsonKeymasterGlad you got it figured out...looks good
colsonKeymasterYou have to edit your css on approx line 32
This is what you have :
#header {
background: url("http://www.isitebuild.com/wdc/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/header3.png") no-repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
}this is what you need to change (change transparent above to #1a212b):
#header {
background: url("http://www.isitebuild.com/wdc/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/header3.png") no-repeat scroll 0 0 #1a212b;
}colsonKeymasterTake the background off line 156 of your css for the #wrap
colsonKeymaster.icon-home:before {
content: "?•";
float: left;
margin-top: 2px;
}You will have to take the float left off for the responsive sizes as it gets smaller you will see that the image goes way left of the menu item.
colsonKeymaster#1 if you go to line 32 of your css for #header and add
background-color: #000 or you can just change transparent to #000 on the background#2 you can add a background image to your css starting on line 225 see below (or you can use the full width "long header" but have the background transparent except for on the left where you will have your logo)
.header-image #title-area, .header-image #title, .header-image #title a {}#3 I will need to take a look at the outreach theme to see if I get a chance later I will look. I would start a new topic for #3 in case I don't get a chance.
colsonKeymasterI am sorry for some reason I could not log into studiopress last night or most of today. I just looked and I think you have it working. I think you have another post that someone is helping you with this. Sorry I could not respond sooner.
colsonKeymasterTry taking out the padding on #genesis-responsive-slider line 1803
**Sorry I was wrong, I am heading out but will try looking when I get back 🙁
colsonKeymasterGlad I could help 🙂
colsonKeymasterSuzannah,
If you go in your css and change the #header to the following it will center it and then you can add a background color. I did this quickly so may not have quite the right blue. So I added the center and #2c3580.
#header {
background: url("http://yachadcanada.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/cropped-logo.jpg") no-repeat scroll center center #2C3580;
}colsonKeymasterLine 612 of the css you can see it has a background color of #FFF
.page .wrap, .post .wrap{}
colsonKeymasterGlad that worked for you 🙂
colsonKeymasterThat image is actually not supose to repeat-y (vertically) that is why it looks like that. if you want you could take it out and just add a darker color like:
background: #333
colsonKeymaster@tobin: you need to change the height it the css also I looked at the fabric theme demo and it looks like you only have to change it for the #header (there should be a min-height) you can increase that too what you want. So change in the function and in the css for the header. If that does not work include a link and I can look at your site.
colsonKeymasteryou need to change it in your functions file. Make sure you have a copy of your functions file first in case you make a mistake with your code you can re upload it. But in your function file look for this below and change the height. there is also two places in your css you usually need to change
/** Add support for custom header */
add_theme_support( 'genesis-custom-header', array(
'width' => 1140,
'height' => 164
) );colsonKeymasteranitac I was not thinking about the search engines and display none. Thank you for the info. I never use display none I always will take the stuff out but was trying to make it easier for him. Thanks again for checking.
colsonKeymasterYou need to add that rule there that one is not in your css right now. then you can remove it if you want those widgets at a later date.
colsonKeymasterActually I think you have your blog as your home page so you need to use.
.blog #inner {
display: none
}
Let me know if that works
colsonKeymasterWell actually you could add a new css rule (hope I am understanding what you want.
.home #inner {
display: none;
}
colsonKeymasterin the css for the divs you just want to hide add:
display: none;
