Look at the padding and you can change it there.

I am heading out but if you can't get it I can help you with it later.

Or if you want we can go thru doing it the other way but that will take a bit of time.
July 28, 2013 at 8:57 am in reply to: Apparition – Upload Header Image and keep full banner behind #52952colsonKeymasterWhen I look in firebug I am not seeing any background-color now for the #header did you not save it maybe?
But the way I would do it is remove the header from the custom header and add it the following way, this will take a bit of css but if you want I can walk you thru it. Or you can just double check your #header to see if you actually have the header background color saved.

July 27, 2013 at 6:46 pm in reply to: Apparition – Upload Header Image and keep full banner behind #52890colsonKeymasteron the header you have:
#header {
background: url("http://austinsharpphotography.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/austin_sharp_header1.jpg") no-repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
}remove transparent and put this:
#header {
background: url("http://austinsharpphotography.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/austin_sharp_header1.jpg") no-repeat scroll 0 0 #111111;
}colsonKeymasterThe margin on the inner effects that. Were it says 20px you can change it to 0 or what ever you want and it will move the white area up or down....
colsonKeymasterOk in firebug the change is not showing this is what I see for the #inner:
#inner {
background-color: #FFFFFF;
border-radius: 5px 5px 5px 5px;
box-shadow: 0 1px 2px #999999;
margin: 20px auto 0;
overflow: hidden;
width: 100%;
}So your changes are not saving... or you are putting them in the wrong css file. If you wanted to get me access to the site I could try looking to see what is going on... I will email a friend of mine and have them review this thread to see if I am missing something but I don't think so.
colsonKeymasterI am looking now
colsonKeymasterCan you add the color you want to the #inner background so I can see if the changes are showing in firebug. Email me back when you have it changed...
colsonKeymasterI don't think he wants the home page to change color and changing it on #inner will also change the home page. OK I wish your site was online this would be easier not being able to see what is happening and if something else is causing things not to change.
I don't like to use !important but try this on the following code and see if that does change it (you really should not need !important but worth a try..page #inner {
background: #E6E6E6!important;
}colsonKeymasterHi Chris it would be better if you started another topic and I can try to help you there please post a link to your site if you have one it makes it easier to help. You do have some mistakes in your code.
colsonKeymasterCan you copy and paste the code how it looks on the inner when you change it and it does not work. Are you sure you saved the changes? #inner should work. The breadcrumbs on the inner has an image so that won't change but the content area below will. Also changing the background on #inner will also change the background of your homepage middle widget area. If you just want it on the inner pages you would need to do:
.page #inner {
background: #yourcolor;
}colsonKeymasterI have to leave in about 15 min so if you try it now I will be around for a bit more.
