Okay, I found a quick and dirty fix by removing the header code below in the CSS file:
Line 2941: position: absolute;
Line 2015: position: fixed;The content seems to be displaying normally now, but the header does not following when scrolling (which I did like that feature). If anyone could help with the correct code correction to keep the header function same as before, I would appreciate it!!
I am also having issues with Huge IT Slider slideshows not displaying at all with this theme after WP update, but I have the same plugin working fine on other sites, same WP version, but running different themes.
chuckzMemberGood news: The slideshow is working!! Bad news: I'm an idiot LOL!!! One of the first things I always do when something doesn't work the way it should, is close browser, clear cache, relaunch browser....but I didn't think of it right way this time. Just cleared the cache, and it appears to be working perfectly.
I appreciate your time and help so much -- thank you!!!
chuckzMemberThat's good, because the functions.php file is where I have been placing the code! After posting here, I did try experimenting with different placements within the file, but nothing worked.
I am using the Huge-It Slider plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/slider-image/
I will try the Genesis slider, but have not before for two reasons...one, it has not been updated in over a year (I try to stick to plugins with recent update history, so I don't spend time on something about to be obsolete), and, two, I could not see in its description where I could set the size of the slideshow.
I'll post after I try the Genesis slider. Thanks again for the help!!!
chuckzMemberOne more bit of info....if I check the page where the slider should appear with Firebug, the slider code is there, but nothing is visible on the page.
chuckzMemberThank you for the reply!!
I tried both of those methods in the link -- the plugin and adding the code to the functions.php file. Neither worked. I added the code to the bottom of the file (screenshot below) -- is that the wrong place to add it??
