I figured it out. It did not like that "articles" was set as the category base. I took that out and it is working properly now.

I have it set to a specific page as I do not want my home page to be blog posts. This is a new problem. I have had a page other than the blog as my home page the whole time.

I also have the posts page set to the proper page. It just stops working once the pagination is in place and you are going to the second page.

I visited the permalinks page, did not change anything, and clicked save changes and I still get the error.
