Thank you again, Marcy!
It's all ok now thanks to you.chalfantMemberOK, I have the widget worked out now so thank you!
One last thing about the header text and description though-
Please. Where is the CSS rule to move it over a bit to the right. I want it more centered.
Can't seem to find any padding settings that relate?chalfantMemberMarcy,
Very nice of you to help, thank you.
I'll go see if I can get this working and post back results...chalfantMemberNo matter what I do nothing changes.
I don't understand why the widget area does not change it's position?I've emailed support also.
chalfantMemberBrad,
You're too kind, thank you.
I'll go play around with it on a local server and see if I can get it working.
I'll post back here a bit later.Again, my thanks.
chalfantMemberAppreciate your help Bad but I'm not sure how to do that.
Changing classes that is.chalfantMemberSorry, forget the border idea.
What I really want is to reduce the text going all the way to the right of the page when using the full screen option.
So I guess it would be the wrap or body area?chalfantMemberWell, thank you kindly for that.
Appreciate the response and your contributions. Off to CSS edit land......chalfantMemberThank you for that, Kitty
Yes, I use Firebug.I had heard that there are two conditions one must use but I'm going to try this and will let you know.
Appreciate your time.
CharleschalfantMemberI went ahead and got MailChimp and Feedburner.
I cannot understand why one would be directed to sign up at WordPress; that's just stupid for an end user visiting a site.Anyway, thanks for your input.
chalfantMemberThank you, anitac.
You make perfect sense and I did think of that.Perhaps I'll just stick with that then.
Case closed and I appreciate all you do here.
CharleschalfantMemberWell, valid point but I just don't want emails sent every time I post; which is a lot.
I think I'm going to try Mailchimp options, thankschalfantMemberHi there,
Thanks but I don't want emails sent to my subscribers; unless I choose to.
I have my site setup so only subscribers can make comments so need a way for them to do that.
Thanks
CharleschalfantMemberYes, I JUST saw that!
Oh well. There goes another $20 but well worth it.Besides. I only have 3 StudioPress themes. So many more to collect.
chalfantMemberThanks Brad. I think I'll just make a new header as I couldn't see the black background image until now.
When I'm back in Sydney I owe you a dinner 🙂chalfantMemberSo... Problem solved?
Hope so.September 19, 2013 at 11:03 am in reply to: Easy way to make Prose Header and Footer full width #63394chalfantMemberSo, is this just too complex for a novice like me?
Perhaps someone could steer me in the right direction as I've spent a whole day searching on Google with no luck.
ThankschalfantMemberThat's in IE so not an issue if you're using Firefox.
I believe there is a bug of some form or should I say an incompatibility between WordPress and IE10.
Obviously this would not be your problem. The only other thing I can think of (and sorry I'm a novice) is a possible conflict with an activated plugin.
Try deactivating plugs one by one. See if that helps.
Other than that I am lost.chalfantMemberHI there,
I use Prose too and have experienced this.Make sure you delete Cache. Are you using the WP Super cache Plugin?
Also, what OS are you using? Because IF you are on Win 7 and using IE10 it can cause this; I am having all sorts of hassles with IE10.
Did you try Compatibility Mode?
Is the image the correct format and compatible size?I'm thinking of other things too.....
chalfantMemberThanks Brad, I'll check that out!
