    Add Genesis Simple Hooks plugin to your wordpress.

    Then add the code to area that says:

    genesis_before Hook

    This hook executes immediately after the opening <body> tag.

    Trying to figure this out too. I'm using Origin theme and it already has the tags referenced on the link you posted leepettijohn. It's obviously not the solution. Will keep looking.

    It looks great! I would suggest to increase the font size of the main navigation links you're interested in getting clicked on.
    That will do two things:
    1. Show which links are particularly important
    2. Fill the empty space to the right of the links which look empty

    Hi John,

    I tried your solution and it places the banner inside the inner tag on all pages except the home page. The code needs to be placed after the <div id=nav> and before <div id=inner>

    Suggestions anyone?

    The website looks awesome. Since you asked for feedback, here is my three cents:

    It could use color in the header, footer and menu areas
    A Facebook icon (just the F) stands out more than actually writing facebook on the button
    Add a call to action with the phone number such as "Call us to Adopt or Donate"

    By the way, which calendar did you use? It's cool.

    Answer to my own question above...

    I looked at the body tag on the home page and noticed it included a class called "home", so I simply created a tag called .home #inner with the new style defined.

    NOTE: You Must define all style elements on the new style in order to cancel out the first style:

    For example, if your inner style includes a background...
    #inner{
    background: url(/wp-content/uploads/bg-inner.png);
    border: 1px solid #fefadb;
    }

    The background will NOT be removed unless you define the background as none
    .home #inner {
    background: none;
    border: none;
    }

    This is just what I was looking for... except that I'd like to set a different tag for the home page (Enterprise Child Theme). The home page is not listed.

    🙂
