Hi Christoph,
Thanks for your response.
I see I can add a new region for device width to set column width to the necessary value. However, going from three to two columns that would also needs a re-allocation of the .first class. Instead of the first and fourth div being first, it will then be the first, third and fifth. How to do that, that's more of a functional adjustment if I'm correct?
bvaneijdenMemberKleverk, where can I find the global.js file? It seems not to be there for me.
I am using the Magazine Pro theme and in the "js" folder there is something called "responsive-menu.js". Is this the correct one?
bvaneijdenMemberThe issue was solved with Genesis 2.2.0 update. Great work guys!
bvaneijdenMemberHello Susan,
the issue (if you could call it an issue) still remains.
bvaneijdenMemberToday I worked on it a bit, using the method of declaring the parent's position relative, and the the child as absolute. The problem remained though, as the parent cannot see the child anymore and therefor collapsed. So I needed to fix the height of the parent to a specific value. Then I also limited the characters in the title so I did not have to enter a too high value (when the title breaks over more than 2 lines).
So, in the end it kind of worked, but not the way I wanted it. What would you have suggested?
bvaneijdenMemberPerhaps you can have a look at the Meta Slider?
bvaneijdenMemberThis thing did the trick, I found it online but I have no idea to where it relates:
.recent-top .featuredpage, .recent-top .featuredpost {
clear: none;
overflow: visible;
}bvaneijdenMemberI had another look. Basically I can easily get a four column inline widget using the css column classes using one-fourth first and one-fourth. It works for text widgets, not a problem at all and it works on any page on my site, including the home page.
I have tracked the problem down back to using the widget 'Genesis - featured posts'. This one, no matter which settings or margins, does not seem to want to be inline. The widgets show up underneath each other, on any page.
Any suggestions here?
bvaneijdenMemberHi,
indeed they are! I did not look at that one yet so I will give it a try later and come back to you.

bvaneijdenMemberHi,
Thanks for your help! I now registered a widget as genesis_before_content and it seems to work.
What is left, is to have a somewhat interesting content in that widget area. Right now I put some plain text in there but I was wondering how to get something like the example website I showed in my first post. I tried a couple of plugins but none of them really comes any close to what I want. I am looking for some kind of grid layout that can show pages, posts with images and text.
What would you suggest? Is there a simple plugins for it, or do I have to use html in my plain text?

bvaneijdenMemberHello,
back here to pick up on this topic. After some weeks of running the website and receiving feedback, I am still convinced I do not want the responsiveness on an iPad mini, whether or not it is held in portrait or landscape position.
I could not figure out how to do it since there seems to be some hierarchical type of coding in the Media Queries you are talking about. Could you still help me with this?
Much appreciated!
Bart
bvaneijdenMemberHi Susan,
I think I could still need some help here! I know how to change the overall font size, which I decided not to change.
For anyone viewing the site on a mobile device, I added this code. It seems to work but not sure if the implementation is correct:
/* Reduces line height on devices from 1.625 to 1.475 */
@media only screen and (max-width: 768px) {
.content {
line-height: 1.475;
}
}It still makes me wonder how to reduce the font size for mobile phones only.

bvaneijdenMemberI think I should add that I mean the iPad mini, which apparently has a resolution of 1024x768 pixels. I believe it means I have to adjust some kind of code to make sure than screens 768 pixels wide or more than 768 wide should not trigger responsiveness? Or am I wrong?
