Brad DaltonParticipant
You'd need a conditional tag.
!is_home()
Or try this: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/genesis-layout-extras/
Brad DaltonParticipantPaste the code at the end of your child themes functions.php file and add your Google Adsense code to it.
Use a conditional tag
Brad DaltonParticipantBrad DaltonParticipantBrad DaltonParticipantHere's one solution. There are others.
Grab the post i.d from your source code and replace it in this CSS code which you need to add to your child themes style.css file.
.post-37615 { display: none; }
Then add this PHP code to your child themes functions.php file.
Or grab it from Github https://gist.github.com/braddalton/5269913
Brad DaltonParticipantDepends. There's developers who make child themes which work on both Thesis and Genesis so i don't think it would be alot of work. ref: http://themedy.com/
I moved from Thesis to Genesis myself and it really wasn't difficult.
If you have a child theme for Thesis, why not paste the functions.php file code into Pastebin and drop a link here so i can take a look.
It maybe just a case of changing the names of the hooks and filters which you can do using search find and replace in Notepad++.
Would also be a few other changes but i doubt anything too challenging.
Brad DaltonParticipantI think you'd need to use this code and add the text after the 'Leave a Comment' text as there's no hook after this text.
add_filter( 'genesis_comment_form_args', 'custom_comment_form_args' ); function custom_comment_form_args($args) { $args['title_reply'] = 'Leave a Comment'; return $args; }
The only other option would be to edit the genesis/lib/structure/comments.php file which isn't really a good idea.
March 29, 2013 at 12:47 am in reply to: Remove excerpts in category archive page (grid loop view) #31888Brad DaltonParticipantCan't help you if you don't provide a link to the page which contains the excerpts.
Brad DaltonParticipantYou can the widget by changing the hook location in this code:https://gist.github.com/braddalton/5257550
Using any of these hooks:
genesis_after_content_sidebar_wrap
genesis_before_footer
Brad DaltonParticipantInstall the Genesis Simple Edits plugin and remove the shortcode for tags.
You can also hide the post meta for categories and tags using CSS code.
Brad DaltonParticipantBrad DaltonParticipantYou can hide the post from displaying using CSS code.
Then you can add a new widget area above the footer using a custom function hooked into that location with a conditional tag for the home page only.
Brad DaltonParticipantHe's written dozens of plugins and works on the Genesis core so i think he's highly regarded in the community.
Not sure how else i can help. I do know there's a few code sbippets for creating your own custom loop.
Bill Erickson has some: http://www.billerickson.net/a-better-and-easier-grid-loop/
http://code.garyjones.co.uk/genesis-grid-loop-advanced
Brad DaltonParticipantSorry my mistake. You want to display a page rather than a post in that area?
the area above the footer is holding a Post.
Brad DaltonParticipantThey are but that doesn't mean every plugin installed is responsive which is the reason i suggested Backstretch which is a free solution.
Brad DaltonParticipantYeah it isn't that easy to install and add the image.
I tested the site using this http://www.studiopress.com/responsive/
Brad DaltonParticipantInstallation of Bactstrech isn't as simple as a plugin because it contains a .js file.
They offer premium support for installation.
Brad DaltonParticipantI couldn't see any problem and actually spent 20 minutes looking at your bathrooms and kitchens! hahaha
Brad DaltonParticipantBrad DaltonParticipantNot sure but i did notice your background images aren't responsive.
Backstrech is a good solution for this.
