Ahh, I see, I think it's called "date modified" in WP speak...
This might point you in the right direction: http://wpsites.net/seo/add-last-updated-date-to-post-info-in-genesis-2-0-html-5-themes/
Also: http://chrislema.com/changing-post-date-genesis-2-0-use-last-modified-date/

asterbirdMemberOh, glad you found something that worked. 🙂 you can mark this as resolved then
January 28, 2014 at 5:06 am in reply to: Reduce navigation bar Streamline Pro keeping text & pointer positions #87456asterbirdMemberOh, navigation is so tricky for me.... try changing line-height near line 1038:
.genesis-nav-menu { color: #999; line-height: 0; }
Dunno if you'll have to change submenu positioning then... in line 1074, add margin:
.genesis-nav-menu .sub-menu { margin-top: 16px; ...
asterbirdMembersure, np 🙂 you can mark this thread resolved then

@bawelburn if found what you need, please mark this thread as resolved.asterbirdMembernp 🙂
asterbirdMemberWhat do you mean by "display latest updates" ? Are you trying to show the 5 most recently modified blog posts on your home page? If so, where? In a widget area?
Also, which theme are you using?
asterbirdMemberOkay, I can see both here: http://www.creativeclicksphotographyblog.com/niagara-on-photographer/newborn-photography/5826
Looks like you've got it set that only logged in users can comment. You can change those settings under Settings > Discussion > Other Comment Settings
asterbirdMemberLooks like you have the green background on each li. You can try adding the green to the ul instead of li.
Go to line 1425:
.genesis-nav-menu {...
and addbackground: green;
to it.
Then delete the green background on the li that you have.Hope that helps 🙂
January 27, 2014 at 7:38 pm in reply to: Reduce navigation bar Streamline Pro keeping text & pointer positions #87359asterbirdMemberCan you provide a link to the site please?
asterbirdMemberYes, it's line 1454 now. With your other changes, the line #s change 🙂
See the following on line 1454?
.genesis-nav-menu a { border: none; color: #333; font-size: 12px; font-size: 1.2rem; display: block; padding: 16px 22px; padding: 1.6rem 2.2rem; position: relative; }
Change the
#333
color tored
, that should work. Then on line 1442, delete.genesis-nav-menu a { color: red; }
since you don't need that after all.asterbirdMemberYes, what you would do is add the logo as a background image, then add padding as needed to show beside or above the text.
Example: in line 1040 in your style.css file, change to:
.site-title a, .site-title a:hover { background: url("//s.w.org/about/images/logos/wordpress-logo-32-blue.png") no-repeat left center; padding-right: 45px; }
That bumps the site title text down, so change the widths to compensate.
Example: in line 1019, change width to:
.title-area { float: left; padding: 0 0 4px; width: 452px; }
And in line 1078, change width to:
.site-header .widget-area { float: left; text-align: left; width: 683px; }
asterbirdMemberHi @SueCrawford, looks like you've got a
float: none;
in line 10579. Do you need it?Take out in line 10579:
#header .widget-area { float: none; }
Also, you've got some extra returns in the widget area. Not sure if that's on purpose or not.
asterbirdMemberWhat are your settings for Genesis > Theme Settings > Comments and Trackbacks?
asterbirdMemberYup, Susanna! I've been there. Couldn't figure out for the life of me why a color wasn't showing up 🙂 The crazy pound sign, of course. You can mark this topic resolved, if you got what you need 🙂
January 27, 2014 at 6:24 pm in reply to: Outreach Pro page background vs home page background #87341asterbirdMemberAll WP pages have a class
page
to them. The home page has .home. So you could start there.Can you give me a link? I can give you more specific help with a link. thanks
asterbirdMemberHi, were you able to resolve this? Looks like you were able to add some content on the page above. You might want to change it to say correctly: Please try to enter a valid... 🙂
Be glad to help with the blog loop, if you can explain what exactly you would like.
Cheers,asterbirdMemberoops, my bad. The class home is on the same element as full-width-content, so drop the space:
.home.full-width-content.outreach #content { padding: 0; }
Actually looks like this works too (less characters is always better!):
.home.full-width-content #content { padding: 0; }
asterbirdMemberyeah, pretty much 🙂 no, actually i have no idea, haven't been around the forums much if I have no questions 🙂
there's a
target="blank"
you can add manually to<a>
tags. Did you know about that? Don't know if you want to insert manually or not. Maybe there's a php function you could create to insert that into every<a>
tag on search pages... something like that. -
