Not sure why they haven't released an update because they fixed it in the demo. The demo thumbnails are even different because they don't have the nice border around them anymore. I asked about this and never received a response. But the demo is totally different than what's available to download.
The slider works fine, you don't need to change it. That white space is not the slider but the background area. Change the 100% to 98%.
.full-width-content #content, .full-width-content.outreach-landing #content {
width: 100%;Per instructions here - add this to the bottom of your style sheet:
#header {
background-position: center !important;
}

AnitaKeymasterThe Primary Sidebar will show up if nothing is in the newly created sidebars. Drag some widgets into them and they should appear.

Looks like you changed the file folder name from Outreach to Outreach 2. You need to change the location to Outreach 2 or vice versa.

/** Start the engine */
require_once( get_template_directory() . '/lib/init.php' );/** Child theme (do not remove) */
define( 'CHILD_THEME_NAME', 'Outreach Theme' );
define( 'CHILD_THEME_URL', 'http://www.studiopress.com/themes/outreach ' );

AnitaKeymasterLook for this code in your CSS: add this to it - height: 250px;
.slider-posts {
margin: 0;
overflow: hidden;
padding: 0;}

AnitaKeymasterThat would be great David. I have just been using the other plugin, but if they can get this fixed I can remove it and not be dependent on it anymore.

AnitaKeymasterI listed two URL's above in previous comments. Take a look at those. The one thing to keep in mind is that phpBB is just a forum board. Buddypress is more of a social network platform that you can integrate a forum board into. The forum that integrates the best without issues is BBpress.org, however I personally don't care for BBpress. Maybe I need to give it more time, I don't know. But you really want to set up a demo site and develop your new site, work out the kinds and play around with it. You'll have much more to monitor with a social networking platform than just a forum board. Email me on my website if you need help.

AnitaKeymasterHi Carrie, thanks for replying. How would I keep those posts from showing up in the Archive or being picked up by the search engines?

January 22, 2013 at 4:47 pm in reply to: Web Design and Development Blog – Custom Genesis Theme #13883AnitaKeymasterThat explains it. Now I feel horrible 🙁 Shoot! Gotta go back to the pre-mades.

AnitaKeymasterThat shouldn't be happening because I have a multi site set up and I didn't have that problem with the different child themes. Deactivate your plugins and let me know if you still have the problem.

AnitaKeymasterTry switching the theme to one of the default themes to see if you have the same problem. Also can you share the URL to your website.

AnitaKeymasterDo you have the Genesis Framework downloaded in your themes folder? Do you have it active sitewide?

January 22, 2013 at 11:45 am in reply to: Looking for a theme I can use for an entertainment agency #13742AnitaKeymasterI would say start out with Outreach, Agency or Backcountry first. You can customize those. Install Buddypress, then install GenesisConnect (in that order). Then have at it. Here is a site I have been working on and still very much draft. If you go to one Marc's page, you will see on the right - a sidebar strictly for him - a place for 1 video, a place for music and a place for his Flickr images. These are 3 separate plugins that you can make to work on each individual performers page. If you need help once you everything installed, send me an email. Just visit my site for my email address.
