Well, how Studiopress used to do it is - they used eJunkie.com. We purchased a theme via the website and then it went to PayPal for the payment to be made. Once the payment was made there was a URL that we returned back to. Their URL pointed back to the website where there was a message that the payment was made and the link to the theme would be in our email.
So... looking at what you want, the person comes to your WP site, makes the purchase (say PayPal), you enter the URL for where they need to go next (subdomain.domain.com) where they will in turn download their app.
Does that make sense?

AnitaKeymasterI still get a 404 when I go here - http://mecavegirl.com/?attachment_id=506.

AnitaKeymasterI am on this page right now and see it in the top right corner. When I click on an image, I get a 404.

AnitaKeymasterHere is another suggestion then. Since Authorize.net is a *MUST HAVE*, you should probably be on their site or contact their support to see what products and APIs they partner with. You are researching backwards. I'd start with asking them first.

AnitaKeymasterOkay, well as a good practice might I suggest adding in here what plugins you've already investigated and looked at. This way they won't be offered again.

AnitaKeymasterHi Christopher,
I referred someone else to this before - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/booking/. Here is the plugin demo - http://wpbookingcalendar.com/demo/. Maybe this might work for you.

AnitaKeymaster@kathiemt, that looks great. I love blue/yellow combination. One thing though, you don't need to keep the "advertisement" for XYZScripts at the bottom of your website you can remove that. I know some hosting companies will "insert" code into their WP installations to promote either the hosting company or the script they use to install WP. It really takes away from the site. It's your choice to leave it there, but I always remove them.

AnitaKeymasterI think a lot of people confuse the themes on Themeforest with the high quality graphics they use with the themes. They look at them and go "Wow, that's nice." But then once they get it and they replace the images with their own or try to manipulate the theme in a different manner - all hell breaks loose. I try to strip down a site by just reading comments from others, then checkout out the themes layout, the CSS with Firebug and go from there.

AnitaKeymasterGo to Genesis > Settings. Scroll down to Header and select Image Logo.

AnitaKeymasterExactly Brad, I agree!! I tried to customize a few where my clients picked them from Themeforest. One in particular, as soon as I changed something in the CSS, the entire theme was destroyed! No matter what I did,
i couldI could not customize it. In another case, it was a church theme and all the areas you saw on the demo were NOT widgets. They had "hard coded" those blocks of "specific" areas into the theme and you couldn't change them unless you knew how really hack it. But why pay for something you have to hack like that. They disclosed widgetized area but there weren't any. I complained and they gave me a replacement theme. All that time I spent on that and the client could have just selected one from SP, I could have customized it and been done with it!

AnitaKeymasterJust an FYI, Google stopped support for Feedburner back in October 2012. You should look for an alternate. If your subscribers used the traditional feed and you add it back via the button, your subscribers will still receive the information.

SoZo's instruction on that stated to delete the home.php and then rename page-portfolio.php to home.php.
@Hoppe, you will need to do that using FTP. If you use FTP and go to your themes file folder on the server, you will see it there.

AnitaKeymasterI tinkered around with this a year ago and still had how I got it to work. I think someone showed me on the old forum. But here's how I did it.
Go here and copy the little house icon I used - https://www.dropbox.com/s/7me8dpcsv8cd3rn/home.png. Save this in your wp-content/themes/YOURTHEME/images file folder.
Then go to
youyour Menus and open up the Home tab. Look for a field called "CSS CLASSES". If you don't see it, click the SUPPORT tab in the top right corner - check the box and then close the Support tab. That field will now be in the Menu area.In the CSS CLASSES of the Home tab - put this - nav li home a - then SAVE your menu.
Then go to Appearance > Editor and add this to your Style.css:
#nav li.home a {
background: url("images/home.png") no-repeat scroll 2px 2px transparent;
padding: 8px 20px;
text-indent: -9999px;
}Depending on your theme, you may have to play around with the padding, etc. You can then find a "home" icon you like and replace the one you copied from me.
It should work for you.

AnitaKeymaster@niftycreations see if this will help - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/control-xml-rpc-publishing/. Just a suggestion.

AnitaKeymaster@project_guy I don't see the people you are talking about who "feel the way you do" in their responses. I do know that there are "web developers" and there are "WEB DEVELOPERS". People like me... who cannot build a theme out the box... a person who cannot code from the front end into a viable "theme" ... but who can hack code, is a "web developer"... a puppy so to speak. People who are WEB DEVELOPERS - are people like the SP team and all the other theme developers who front end code the "pre-made" themes in say Themeforest and the like - those are "WEB DEVELOPERS" the BIG DOGS.
"puppies" are asking for more "BIG DOG" pre-made themes to pass along to their clients without having to make a lot of custom changes because their clients like what they see in the "pre-made." Actually... to me... it's really the lazy way out for us "puppies".
That being said.... we shouldn't just merely say, Studiopress is building "bland" themes you don't like... and they need to start being more creative and giving the puppies more to play with.... if you don't like what they offer... there are other themers out there for you to choose from. And.. there is also the choice to step up to the plate and take what they've given us and turn it in to one of these - http://www.studiopress.com/showcase.

AnitaKeymasterThat's a "breadcrumb". To turn them off - go to Genesis > Settings - scroll down and uncheck the Breadcrumbs and then SAVE.

AnitaKeymasterYou are talking about the Genesis Extender Plugin developed by Catalyst. It wasn't created by SP.

February 8, 2013 at 8:02 pm in reply to: Facebook not showing photo preview like other blog sites #19137AnitaKeymasterFacebook controls what get's posted. To help it along, I use this plugin called Easy Facebook Share Thumbnails. It works with your Featured Images that you attach to your posts. If you place a default image in the settings, if you don't have a Featured Image attached to your post, it will pull the default image.

One thing to keep in mind... that it doesn't happen immediately. Facebook needs time to recognize that you added this to the site.

AnitaKeymasterThat is a question you need to ask your hosting provider. They can answer that for you.
