When I switch the Post and Page Grid to pages, the selector where the number of columns can be adjusted, disappears. And changes will not be saved.

The "Continue Reading" text can be changed in block editor mode, in the Post and Page Grid Content menu.

I modified the text in line 290 of the PHP. Change did not take effect.
In my PHP it was not in line 369... it might be a different version.
Can you help how to change the "Continue Reading" text?
Actually the issue was self-inflicted. I had changed a couple of things in the CSS, which resulted in the page becoming non-responsive.
I overwrote the CSS with the original now, and the issue is solved.

You are right, it is possible to set the bottom margin of scrolling with Q2W3.
In my search I have tired the WP Sticky Sidebar plugin, which actually works better for me.
With Q2W3 the sidebar kept jumping. With WP Sticky Sidebar it slides smoothly.
