Hello I have just installed Magazine Pro, but now the item “Your homepage shows” does not appear. In the Reading settings, only the items starting from “Blog pages display at most:” appear.
I have tried to search in other menus as well but I cannot find this item.
I've never known Genesis or any child theme to hide WordPress settings. Look under Appearance / Customize / Homepage Settings and see if the settings are there.

Thanks for the answer, we have already seen it but don't be there under Appearance / Customize / Homepage Settings
Where did you purchase your Magazine Pro and what version is it? I just installed the latest version and the setting is there.

The problem was due to the development environment
Thanks 🙂
I am having the same issue. A previous developer worked on my client's site and hid the homepage setting so it automatically defaults to the blog page. I know this is a setting under the customize/homepage settings. Why he didn't just use this I don't know. Now, I'm struggling where he put the code to only show the blog. Any thoughts?
@liberiah make sure you have a front-page.php file in the theme folder on the server. If there is one, make sure it's still named front-page.php. If there isn't one, copy the front-page.php file from the original file into the theme folder. But without know how much customization they did to your site, we can't really help beyond this. A link to the site is helpful.
