    Can someone point me to a good list of html numbers to use for icons/emojis/dingbats etc that they use on the website.

    I was using things like
    ☎ for my telephone symbol, but a recent WordPress update has changed this from being a black/grey icon to being bright red. The wordpress.org just seems to have info on the smilie emoticons

    Would like to see what other options there

    Dashicons are built into WordPress. Fontawesome is another choice. Both are icon fonts. You control the colors through css just as you would with any font.
