I have upgraded to wordpress 4.9 and now cannot find the appropriate CSS in the new editor.
    .sub-nav
    .nav-primary

etc do not show up in the CSS yet I can see them in the Chrome Inspector.
I am perplexed. What have I done wrong?

The CSS is in the child theme's style.css or style-front.css file. Where are you trying to make these edits?

I noticed in 4.9 in Firefox, CTRL-F doesn't search the entire editor, only the current visible viewport

    Thanks James,
I have reverted back to 4.8.2 for now.

    Hi Victor,

I cannot find the appropriate title in either.

I have reverted to WordPress 4.8.2 and can find my way around the CSS again. It now searches the entire file not just the visible within the screen opening.

I am still struggling to change the menu colours in Infinity Pro theme though. It has me beat.

    Goto .genesis-nav-menu

Copy/paste those codes and add the div you want to the as a prefix .genesis-nav-menu div

    .nav-secondary .genesis-nav-menu

Also if you move any section above/below wrap add; .wrap after the div

    .nav-secondary .wrap

As far as I remember all themes work around the same or similar divs

In WordPress 4.9, this is also a problem in the latest version of Chrome for Mac.

Searching a CSS file in edit mode only scans the viewport. Great. More improvements.

    Agreed.

I was told once to never upgrade to the X.X version.

Wordpress 4.9 seems somewhat flawed. Best to wait for 4.9.1 or more.

I should have heeded that advice on this one. It's cost me a lot of time.

    Greg.
