    Doing testing with the nice theme Wintersong Pro, I come across a small hurdle on mobiles.

    I insert the list of the most recent articles in the sidebar. While this comes nice on desktop, it is less soon on mobiles, since the list of recent articles shows before any post (on other themes, this would show at the end, but the logic of Wintersong Pro is a different one, since the sidebar is a fixed one, that stays on the side while scrolling).

    I had assumed that I could create a specific setting for screens less wide than 991px (for instance), with a command for header-widget-area set to display:none on such screens.

    However, I have failed to find the proper piece of code: I have found various ones on the Internet, but none seems to work properly.

    What is the right piece of code that I should use in such a case?

    Try:

    @media
    only screen and (max-width: 991px) {
    .header-widget-area {
    display:none
    }
    } /*BE SURE TO CLOSE THE SECOND BRACE*/

    You can put this CSS

    • in the stylesheet,
    • in the Page-specific Scripts box way down at the bottom of the edit Page (if you only need it on the Home page), or
    • perhaps in the locations you can inject header code (some Genesis plugins).

    Many thanks for this useful information - and for drawing my attention to the need to close the second brace! Much appreciated!
