    I'd like to add a subtitle under the site title (below gravatar on the top). Could be pulled from the site description, or hardcoded.

    Thanks!

    In the style.css for this theme, line 865, there is display:none; set for the site description. Remove that line and your description will show. HTH

    I do the best I can with what I’ve got. (say hey on twitter)

    Awesome - thanks Robin!

    Now I'm having a bit of a hard time formatting the divider line (moving it down some more). I couldn't find it in the code inspector. Any idea where to look?

    Cheers and thank you!

    All figured out.

    After making the site-description visible, I split the divider css into two:

    .site-header .site-description::after {
    border-bottom: 1px solid #000;
    content: "";
    display: block;
    margin: 30px auto 30px;
    margin: 3rem auto 3rem;
    width: 25%;
    }

    .site-header .widget::after {
    border-bottom: 1px solid #000;
    content: "";
    display: block;
    margin: 0 auto 30px;
    margin: 0 auto 3rem;
    width: 25%;
    }
