MemberBefore I buy Winning Agent, I'm wondering if the "search bar" and tagging is customizable? Or is this a very specific, highly development real estate only functioning theme?
I've a 30 year old business advisory and executive coaching firm plus I've authored books, workshops, etc.. In other words, our offerings are extensive. I was thinking of using this theme with the drop down search bar to help site visitor find their way to appropriate resources fast. Our current website is functional, attractive but not self-managable like a WordPress site.
For example, I might change:
> "Status" to "For..." and have options in the drop down like: My Business, My Career, Me Personally, My Health
> "Types" to "Offerings and have options in the drop down like: Consulting, Coaching, Programs, Speeches, Books. The nextI've basic WordPress technical skills but I touching the Editor and Coding isn't my think. I figured I would ask to see if my idea could work within the normal set-up of Winning Agent.
Thanks,

KeymasterWhat do you mean by customizable for the search and tagging? Would you be able to provide a little more details? Also, are you able to work with a freelancer, such as myself, to work on the site with you so you can achieve what you are looking for?

Member@ anitac - I thought the example I gave was fairly specific with regards to the "search bar"?
My guess is that each post (listing) needs to be tagged so it is searchable in the Search Bar. Am I limited to things like "Status" "Types" "Price" etc... for tagging?
Thanks.

KeymasterI meant "customizable how" - by css, look, change the font, or how it returned the results. As for the other items, "No" you would not be tagging, you would be using the AgentPress Listings plugin to create those taxonomies. Those taxonomies are searchable via the AgentPress Property Search Widget.

http://wordpress.org/plugins/agentpress-listings/You cna use it for literally anything you like. We've seen it used for things like car sales even.

MemberAm I missing something here? There is a theme called Agent Pro and there is another theme called Winning Agent. It appears as thought the answers I'm getting are for the wrong Studio Press theme. I'm asking specifically about the theme Winning Agent.
I'm appreciative of the suggestions offered, but I need to make sure we're communicating apples to apples versus apples to PCs.

MemberAfter lots of digging around, I found my answer. Yes, everything on the Search Bar on Winning Agent is customizable! It isn't restricted to real estate terms. As was recommended, I'll need to use the Agent Listing plugin and modify to my business needs that are not real estate related.
Here is what I think is the developer's website:
Here is a wonderful video that explains it:
In fact, the detailed explanation so often missing on the StudioPress website, but offered here has sold me. I'll post my website once I have it up and running!
Thanks to all who jumped in to help me.
