    I would like the styling of the footer widget and sidebar widget titles to be different from each other. When changing widget-area h4, it changes all widget titles in the site.

    How do I change the font of the footer widget titles? I was going in the direction of changing the styling based on specific widget IDs, but I am not doing it correctly.

    Is there a way to make sure that the footer title styling will remain even if a widget is deleted and replaced with another one?

    The ID's will change as you change widgets. If you don't want to be that specific, stick to classes, as in:

    #footer-widgets .footer-widgets-1 { your styles }

    etc
