Why won't Header and Footer go away?

Hi there,

I am creating a custom landing page for a theme that did not have one by default. I've created a new theme file with all the necessary code to remove everything but posted content from the page, but header and footer content persists. The details for these two sections are defined via Genesis Simple Hooks, i.e - copyright info for the footer, images for the header area. My assumption is that GSH has assigned these sections a new hook title which is not responding to the requests to remove them.

What adjustment should I make to the following code to get the header / footer to no longer show?
